Chapter 2Fred clenched his fists as they got into the patrol car and drove out of Nortown. The man had been speeding, and if Raymond hadn’t been more invested in his coffee than doing his job, they could’ve caught him. Nortown would’ve been a safer place, and to Fred that meant a lot. Nortown, in his opinion, was already one of the safest places in the world. There was hardly any crime, everyone knew each other, the community was strong, and you could wave a rainbow flag without anyone attacking you, or even so much as glare.
