Maeve’s POV
“this is so degrading” I sigh, as Ben and I quietly sneak through the back entrance of the house hoping to go unnoticed by the rest of the pack
“I know” he says as he looks at the collar in his hands
“it’s for children” I say, exasperated by the whole ordeal
“I know” he says again as he moves to place the collar around my neck
“I only wanted to go for a run. Why is he making such a big deal out of this?” I ask
“I don’t question my Alpha and you shouldn’t either” he says sternly. He then looked into my eyes, his expression softening and sighed, “I know this isn’t what you imagined but at least you are getting out for a while”
