I stared at him stupefied. Did I hear him right? Did he really confess his love to me? But above all, am I worthy of it? Do I deserve that kind of happiness in my life?
I blinked, coming back to my senses. He was still looking at me with those bewitching eyes, "Declan, I-" I started but Declan interrupted me abruptly, "No, you don't have to say anything now" He shook his head, turning around to hide his facial expressions from me.
It was silent for a few seconds.
"I know, that you're not happy with this marriage" Declan spoke, still with his back facing me, "But I am trying with everything I have to make it work," He said, his voice sounded so thick with emotion.
And I see it, Declan. I notice everything. I always do.
