"Surprise?" I asked, momentarily forgetting about the text message. I looked up, still teary-eyed, at Declan who was smiling softly at me.
Declan nodded and grabbed my biceps, "Yes, but you have to smile first to get them" He said as he pulled us both to our feet.
I wiped my cheeks furiously and tried to put on a huge smile. Declan stared blankly at me, "That's more like a grimace. Give me one of your genuine smile and I will give it" He said, dangling a small rectangular box in front of me.
I tried to grab it but Declan raised the box higher. I glared at him and started to jump up and down, but still, I couldn't even touch the box. Declan was that tall.
