CHAPTER NINE The day went by far too quickly as far as Kate was concerned. They’d gone from house to house—from family member to acquaintance and back again—and Kate felt that they had still gotten nowhere. It was the sort of case where she was practically just waiting for another body to show up. And God help her, she almost wanted that. It would at least present them with another opportunity to find evidence or clues. They even revisited the alleyway where Jack Tucker’s body had been discovered. Of course, they turned up nothing.
