To say Larissa was stunned by Rome's outburst would be an understatement. For long she only stare at him in confusion and awe.
Luckily his cell phone rang out, breaking the tense atmosphere and he picked it up before walking out.
Minutes later she overheard him returning into the room where he stood before her and glared.
" Dress up. my parents are throwing a party for us. we should be there " With that words he walks into his lavatory and the water began running minutes later.
" What just happened? " She asked herself Inwardly after a long time. " Oh "
She has forgotten to make more research on him. She had thought since he kissed her tenderly after the marriage he will accept her.
Turns out she's only wishing for the impossible. The thought of going to his parent's house terrified her but there was nothing she could do.
Tiredly she gets up from the bed and goes into the dressing room to change her nightdress into a long elegant dress.
Larissa left her hair swirling around her waist. She soon applied a little makeover on her face and she reemerges into the room just in time to see her husband hooking up his cufflinks.
He is dressed in his pants trousers and a white long sleeve t-shirt. His hair was styled just like always and his expression was cold.
Larissa didn't say a word to him. instead, she evacuated the room and walk out to the living room. At this moment her cellphone also rang out and she was startled by it.
Swiftly she answered the call when she stared at the screen.
" Rald? "
" Yeah. How are you doing tonight with your new husband? " Rald asked from the other end.
" Nothing " Larissa replied with a sigh. " I mean uh.. perfect. we are going to a family party. his parents decided to celebrate our wedding "
" Ohh isn't that so nice? Though I have expected him to shift into his werewolf and claim you as his already. okay, Rissa but don't you dare drink at that party. you will surely ruin it if you do " He advised and she grinned.
" You should be at your concert already Rald. Your fans would be waiting "
" Peep out from the window. Let me see your beautiful face before I leave for my concert "
Abruptly Larissa was stunned. Her legs make for the window that was just at the corner of the living room In her confusion and she peers out.
There she saw him. Gerald Chen. The renowned pop star whom she had saved from death years ago.
A man with black hair and dressed perfectly as usual. His earrings glittered under the moonlight. His car which he leans on so luxurious.
" Rald! " She exclaimed to him through the cell phone but her eyes never leave him now. " why the hell are you here? "
" To see the bride's face. I'm sorry I couldn't arrive earlier. You are beautiful just as I have imagined you to be. It's a pity I didn't see you in your wedding dress "
Her heart dropped at this but then she lowered her eyelids slowly. Larissa knows perfectly well Gerald had loved her.
When he heard about her marriage with Rome Zoe he has been devastated.
" It's uh ... Beautiful. I have got some pictures of it you know " She finally replied after finding her voice. " I should come down Rald. Wait up "
Without waiting for an answer Larissa Storm out. Down the stairs and through the hall but when she finally gets out he is gone.
Her heartbeat began racing at this. Slowly she pinned her cell phone to her left ear firmer.
" Rald...where are you? " Her voice already breaking.
" On my way to the concert "
" Damn you! You should have waited for me "
" It will make no difference Rissa. You are ... married " The last word was forced out and Larissa could hear the disappointment laced with it.
She let out a sigh and sniffed back tears. This is the price she had to pay to Henley, her adopted father anyway.
" I will fly over to see you tomorrow. I promise " With those words she disconnected and walk back to Zoe's Mansion's garage to wait for Rome.
Now everywhere seem lonely and unbearable. Tears of agony filled her eyes. She remembers the delirious days of passion they'd once shared in the past.
Pushing everything back now she dabbed her eyes when she overheard the footsteps of Rome coming forward.
His presence filled her with fear. Rome ignored her entirely and walk towards a car. He settled behind the wheel and drive it forward, stopping beside Larissa but didn't say a word.
Dejectedly she turn around and made to open the back seat but Rome was quick to speak.
" So I'm your chauffeur now, huh? "
Larissa choked back her bitter response. She walks forward and opens the car door before hopping in and sitting just beside him.
Her handkerchief was busy at that moment and Rome didn't even notice her tears because he is too enraged about the wedding.
He drives out immediately and the journey was silent throughout.
finally, they stop at the tall building. inside this building is a party going on. The sound of classical Italian music fills the air.
The couple alighted from their car and at once Rome comes behind Larissa, wrapping a hand at the small of her back to support her.
She nearly jump at this but succeeded in restraining herself. They are in the midst of his family so of course they need to act.
" Oh my goodness! look who we have here. " Rome's uncle exclaimed when he saw them. " My beautiful Rissa "
She gives him her palm to peck and she smiles.
" Hello Uncle Pedro "
" It's fabulous to see you here my darling. come come. others have been awaiting you both "
Uncle Pedro leads the newly wedded couple to the nice patio where dinner is about to Start.
Everyone at the table immediately stood up to greet and welcome them.
" look how beautiful she is " Rome's mother, Cordelia beams In joy as she hugs Larissa. " Come here and sit with me, my dear "
" Thank you, Mother. I never know I will be here tonight "
" Of course, you will be here " She chuckled. " After all, you are my daughter " Cordelia leans forward and whispers to only Larissa. " Should I be expecting my heir after tonight? "
" Mother! " Larissa protested before laughing gently. " I think time will tell mum "
" You are right. sure sure "
Everyone settled down in no time and the dinner Began. Larissa was aware of her husband staying mute. he barely answers any questions thrown at him.
" Larissa please tell. How is your career going? I Heard you are a popstar " It's Cordelia that asks that question. Larissa had to lay down her fork and smile.
" It's not much. I rehearse now and then though "
" Well, I heard you know this famous popstar Gerald Chen. Is that true? "
Larissa choked on the water she was drinking at that time. Rome was merciful enough to pass her a handkerchief.
" Thank you " She mutters to him. " Yes, Mother. I know Gerald Chen. After I saved him from a car accident four years ago we have been friends. close friends "
" Just friends? " Uncle Pedro asked this time and Larissa stop Abruptly. She dares not make eye contact with her husband as she nodded.
" Of course. Rald is just a friend. he's a good popstar too "
The dinner goes on and laughter finally eases the tense atmosphere. Soon dessert was served but at that moment an elegant lady arrived.
She wore a very short dress and her face so heavy with makeup. Larissa could sense the unapproved glances the family of Rome shot her as she walks to the table.
" Sorry everyone that I am late " She whispers with a grin. slowly her eyes fell on Larissa and she grinned. " Congratulations Rissa. I'm Rosa "
" Oh, thanks. Welcome " The newly wedded bride replied smoothly with a smile of her own.
Rosa also joins the table and the desert goes on heartily. Minutes later Rome stood up from his seat.
" I need to visit the washroom, excuse me " He said and walk off. Larissa stole a glance at his retreating.
After a while, Rosa also stood up. she made a show about checking her wristwatch.
" Oh excuse me, everyone. I have to leave now. I'm late for my show "
Without waiting for a response Rosa also walks away taking the same route that Rome has taken.
The dessert finally ended and Larissa began to panic. Rome has gone for a very long time to the said washroom without returning.
After many attempts to calm herself without succeeding, She also stood up and smile.
" I should visit the powder room too. don't worry I can find my way "
She set out immediately, her heart pounding. As though she knows something unholy is going on. Larissa made her way to the beautiful lighted house which was silent.
She perceived Rome's cologne which couldn't go unnoticed and abruptly she stop to navigate. That moment she overheard the moan.
Larissa's heart was put to a stop at that moment when she heard the moan and soft smack.
with her heart thudding, she followed the sound and soon she found herself standing before a door.
Her fingers were shivering when she reach out and open it. There she witness the reason why her heart wouldn't be calm.
Rosa was in Rome's arms. the lady partly naked. Her breasts were bare and she was pinned against the wall.
Larissa was too startled and shocked to react. With adrenaline pumping life into her legs, she ran out crying.
