Both Ren and Rhys wanted a simple ceremony. For them, it was enough for it to be a beautiful day to remember, and there would only be around thirty attendees present, if that.
On Ren’s side, this included his parents.
After he passed the board exams and officially became an engineer, Ren had sent his parents a message about it, though of course, they already knew. In that message, he had expressed his gratitude for all their years of hard work that made it possible for him to have this achievement.
He made no mention of the reason their relationship became strained. This didn’t have anything to do with that. This was only about them.
His parents had responded by asking if he was willing to come home so they could celebrate together.
