Rhys pushed himself harder as he trained in the indoor arena. Whenever he closed his eyes all he could see was that son of a b***h touching his mate. All he could hear was her scared mind link and whimper. If Lex had let him, Rhys would’ve killed that warrior the moment Cal had taken her put the room. A knock sounded at the door which made him growl. It was late and he couldn’t sleep after the events of the day so there was no reason for anyone to need him or the training room. And yet the knock came again. This time he walked over to the door and nearly ripped it off the hinges. Big hazel eyes looked up at him in slight fear but so much defiance. She was leaning against the frame and held a pizza between them.
