“Someone enjoyed her whole day with her mommy.” Zordan teased Roselet when she walked into the guest house. “So, how was it? Did you enjoy spending time with her?”
“Yes, Zordy. I had a lot of fun with her.”
“More than Daddy?” Zordan asked playfully, but he really wanted to know the answer to this question because he didn’t want her to choose Ethlyn over Calvin.
“Nope. Daddy is the best.” Roselet replied with a smile first, but immediately she became sad. “I wish he was here. I miss him.”
“I’m sure he misses you too,” Zordan said, not revealing to her the fact that Calvin was going to attend the party. Zordan checked the time and shook his head.
