I looked up and was surprised to see Kwan standing in the doorway to my room. “Am I interrupting your study?” Kwan glanced at my father’s Bible lying open on my lap.
“No, I was just reading.” I was curious to know what Kwan was doing in my room. For the past three weeks at the safe house if either Kwan or Mr. Kim had a message for me, they relied on So-Young to deliver it. In such a short time, So-Young became a dear friend.
