Chapter Four
As Ethan and Garwin walked down the shuttle ramp Garwin gave a low whistle. The cloud cover had been thick and low as the shuttle came in and so it was the first time he’d seen the devastated settlement. The spectacle was almost as new to Ethan. Only a short while after he and Rudra had arrived from their trek from the lake, they had been rushed onto the vessel that was transporting the injured to the Mistral. Ethan had passed through the wreckage from the bombardment and the tsunami in order to reach the shuttle field, but his amazement at finding out all that had happened while he’d been in captivity had numbed his senses, making it hard to take everything in.
