Jenessa's POV:
Monday
I woke up to the sound of my alarm, another day at school. After shopping with Olivia on Saturday evening, we hung out at the food court until sunset, then I dropped her back home. I hope things get better at home for her. If her parents continued like that, divorce would be in the near future.
"Jen, I'm leaving!" Mom shouted from downstairs.
"Bye!"
Dad was probably still asleep, he had today off after his trip and his boss told him to come in tomorrow.
I went to the kitchen after getting ready for school. Mom left pancakes for me, thanks mom. I poured myself a glass of orange juice and sat down at the table, the warm pancakes steaming in front of me. I took a bite, savoring the sweetness, but my mind was already drifting to what awaited me at school.
