Chapter 02: The Truth From The Past
Elliot was about to walk away, but Tomás was fast enough to pin his hands above his head on the hard-rusty wall. The hunk man was persistent in what he feels for Elliot. He knows that at this point, it was more than the lust he is feeling. It was love. He has been keeping love for six years and acted like it didn’t bug him at all. The man sniffed to his neck and exhaled on it. The warmth of his breath was sending shivers down his spine.
“Stop it, Tomás,” he resisted. But the man, Tomás, was driven to do unholy things to him. He cupped Elliot’s but cheek that made him gasped out loud. Tomás started kissing his neck.
Sudden flashes of memories inside Elliot’s mind struck like a bolt of lightning that made him slap the man hard. He cried. He couldn’t take that he will be doing it again to him. “Leave me, Tomás. Leave me!” and he gave the rich man a side to side slap. Tomás chuckled and laughed mockingly.
“Perhaps you have found someone who gave you better s*x than me. Come on, Elliot. Let’s be one again. I know how you feel. Let me f**k you right now. No one can do it better than me. I know your body more than you know. Not even your new man or whatever can match my skills,” said Tomás boasting himself in front of the man he loved.
He was afraid of rejection. He was scared that Elliot would turn down his love for him. It was hard for him to say the words “I love you” as he was a self-centered and ego-centered man.
Before Elliot could respond words that would make the man crumble in tears, the glass door opened, and a man carrying a baby looked at them. Elliot was not able to move his body. He froze. “Mommy!” the kid cheerfully called as the kid got out from the man carrying him and rushed running to Elliot.
“Hu-Hugo,” he whispered under his breath. There is a worry in his tone. An arm then hugged his knees that made him snapped his head. The kid looked at him and beamed a smile. “Mommy. I’ve waited for you for hours to come home. I want to celebrate my birthday with you and Uncle Bryan,” he said. Elliot looked at Bryan, who is now smiling apologetically. “Did we interrupted something?” he asked in a low voice.
Tomás glared darkly at Bryan and eyed him from head to foot. He smirked. And at the back of his mind, he knows that this guy named Bryan was no match for him. “Let’s go home, Mommy,” the kid said that caught Tomás’s attention. He stared at the kid. There was a flick in his bloodstream. A leap of his blood rage made him feel awake as his heart pounded fast. He resembles the face when he was young. Hugo looked exactly like Tomás. It was then that caused his mouth to gape open as the kid looked back at him.
“Who is he, Mommy? Hi, stranger! I am Hugo. Hugo Barnes. Two years old, and today is my birthday,” the kid announced and followed by a yawn. Tomás was speechless. An arm then extended to hug Hugo and carried him. “Baby, you go home first, okay? Mommy is still working. Your bedtime already passed,” he rushed, going to Bryan, that is looking at them from a distance.
Elliot was too nervous. The secret he had been keeping for so long might come out sooner than he expected it to be. He looked at Bryan with round eyes as his jaw tightened. “I’ll talk to you later. For now, go home and be safe. Quick!” he said. The kid looked at his Mom worriedly, and so does to Bryan. “Be careful here, Mommy. I love you,” the sweetness of the kid made somehow Elliot at ease. He beamed a smile at his son as he waved them goodbye. A glimpse of hope shimmered in his heart when he saw the two were out of sight from him.
Right before he could turn around doing his job back once more, Tomás was quick enough to block his way as he crosses his arm along with his sharp, deadly looks. “Who is he,” he asked. It made Elliot’s heart pounded fast. Beads of sweat formed on his forehead. He looked away and tried to walk away from him, but a hand grabbed his left pulse tight. It made him winced in pain as he met the chartreuse green eyes that once he saw was in pure rage.
“Tell me! Is it true? Are the rumors true, Elliot?!” he yelled as his teeth were gnashing. But he remained mute as tears were swimming in his eyes. This is the part where Elliot got scared the most. Never in his life, he became this worried and frightened. Tomás had lots of questions and looked at Elliot.
He wondered about all the rumors he heard. He kept an eye on him with his wealth and connections and found out that the stories are true. He was waiting for him to speaking about this. He wanted to hear the words from him. Tomás knew what he wanted in life. He knew it from the beginning, but his denial and self-centered self stopped him from telling what he feels about him.
“I-It hurts!” he wailed, looking at his pulse that he grabbed tightly. Tomás let go of it. “Tell me now, Elliot,” he said sternly. Elliot fake chuckled as he fought back his fears. “Tell you what? That you have successfully crushed me? That you made my dreams gone like a bubble in the air? Yes. Yes, Mr. Rodriguez! You already won. Are you contented now seeing me in despair?” he wiped his tears as he sobbed hard.
“You can go now. And don’t ever! Ever dare to touch me or come near me. I swear, Tomás, you wouldn’t want me to fight back with you. And don’t you dare coming close to my son or else...” his voice quivered as he became angry just by the thought of Tomás carrying his son. “May God forgives me for what I can do,” he said. Tomás never stood a chance of being threatened by his words. He let out a bitter laugh as he shoved his hands into his pocket.
