An aggressive beeping sound tore me out of dreamless sleep.
I groaned in protest and slapped a hand toward the noise, connecting with my angrily vibrating phone. It was as if the muscles in my arm had turned to Jell-O, and it took me several tries to finally slide the screen in the right direction and turn the alarm off.
“Hmmph,” Liam sleepily groaned from behind me, and then a strong arm wrapped around my waist and pulled me close against his warm, hard body. “What’s the time?”
“Six,” I mumbled, snuggling closer up against my bed partner. “We can sleep half an hour more.” I usually didn’t take advantage of the snooze button, but then again—I usually didn’t stay up until the early hours of the night.
