A word from the author…‘The Mountain’ started life as a subplot in a manuscript about a pending oil crisis. It took on a life of its own and became more significant than the original story line. The deeper I researched into Native American culture, the more its philosophy and spirituality fascinated me.
Day by day, the story evolved and I learned from the experience. Each time I planned an outline, the characters took me in a different direction. I learned to go with the flow much as Peter, the protagonist, does in the novel.
It was rewarding, enjoyable and fun to write this novel and I hope it’s equally fulfilling to read.

When the blood in your veins returns to the sea and the earth in your bones returns to the ground, perhaps then, you will remember that this land does not belong to you,
it is you who belongs to this land.
