Kinsley sat quietly at the table while the girls laughed about their men. It amazed her how well these women knew their men, but then most had been with theirs for years. Hannah had a crush on Ben since she was a teenager then he left for the military. Kinsley couldn’t imagine loving someone that long.
Yes, she could.
She could imagine a lifetime with Carter would never be enough, as sappy as that sounded. Then why did she constantly push him away? Something was seriously wrong with her. Carter was kind, sweet, and patient. He deserved a far better woman than her. One without commitment issues and secrets. Only she didn’t want to give him up for that perfect woman. She selfishly wanted to keep him for herself, even if she couldn’t give him what he wanted.
