After an hour of deliberation in his room, Gunner decided to leave. He grabbed his belt bag and stuffed everything he needed inside. In case of an emergency, he only needs a fully charged phone and a fully charged power bank (50000mAh). More importantly, he should turn off his phone. Because everything takes place in silence. Gunner is suspicious of the WIC company and the person who sends him an email.
As a weapon, he only had his phone. The truth will be revealed if that email is true.
He took his belt bag and exited his room. He checked his wristwatch, which indicated that it was nine o'clock in the evening. Gunner is unconcerned about their town's curfew, which is ten o'clock at night. His mind was occupied by the name of his twin brother, and all he wanted to do right now was take part of that company.
"Hey buddy, where you at?" Sam inquired as he walked past his dorm.
Gunner responded with a wave of his hand. "I went to the store just to get something to eat because I overslept and didn't realize the time and I was hungry."
"Just hurry because the curfew starts at ten and soldiers are going to punish you if they ever catch you. You know that, right?" Sam asked, worried because Gunner knew what those soldiers had done to a young man who they caught wondering at the curfew hour.
"Yes, I will definitely return as soon as possible, bye now," Gunner finally said goodbye and dashed to the exit area.
It was already 9:15 p.m., and he could see soldiers passing by, most likely getting ready. Even though Gunner still does not understand why those soldiers can be so cruel when it comes to curfew time. Why are they so cruel when they catch someone and, instead of locking them up, they batter them like animals?
When a soldier looked him in the eyes, Gunner immediately averted his gaze. He went to the first store he saw, which was 7Evelyn, and he needed to leave right away. Fortunately, there was a bathroom where he could escape without being caught, and he should be cautious when running through the woods because you never know when you will run into a soldier. If that happens, his mission will be a failure.
He purchases a knicker chocolate and pays the cashier. He asked him where the restroom was, and he politely directed him there. He thanked him and pretended to be a normal guy passing by.
And he was correct, there was a window through which he could easily exit.
"I never imagined myself being here right now," he muttered under his breath as he jumped out.
He looked at both sides and everything was clear. He walks silently in areas where there are no lights, taking care not to make any noise. After securing that, he is now far away from the store and there are no lights at all, only moonlight filling the field, but he can see everything in the dark. It was as if he was born with night vision; strange, but he enjoyed it.
Only the sound of dry leaves can be heard as he runs into it. Gunner, like his twin brother, is a fast runner. It was both a hobby and a test of stamina for them. Every thud of his feet on the ground was like leaves rustling in the wind at the same time as his puff of breath. He was running in a relaxed manner so that he would not tire easily until he arrived at his destination.
If you have a service, you will get there in thirty minutes (30mins), but if you are running, you will probably get there in an hour (1hr), or it depends. That is Gunner's assessment. He would have preferred to ride his bicycle, but it had been borrowed by his roommate, who did not return it. He believes they stole his bike.
He came to a halt in his tracts when he noticed the dim light of the company. It was a secure lock, and he needed to find a way in. He is certain that there is an entrance for him in every secure building.
"This is tough," he says as he tries to catch his breath after running.
To be safe, he lured himself into the trees where he could blend in. Gunner is certain that an entrance is waiting for him, but he doesn't see anything. He concentrates while wiping sweat beads from his brow.
The building was completely silent except for the sound of something banging on the roof or whatever, or perhaps it was just some wild animal or rats, because it was built in the heart of the forest.
He was about to see the lights of the building from where he was standing, but instead he found what he had been looking for. Finally, he discovered a window that he believes leads directly into a bathroom or basement, but it was located on at least the second floor. The second floor, which he estimates is twenty feet (20ft) tall, and he has no idea how to get there. That is the first step toward entry, and now he must figure out how to enter without making a sound.
His breathing was heavy as he saw a heavy ladder, but not anything of just a ladder, but it was a heavy full metal ladder that should be carried by three or four strong men. He was not sure why the ladder was so heavy. It should be a light weight, since it is used for construction or anything that can be used.
He looked from his left and nothing...
He looked from his right and nothing...
His heart was beating so fast that he did not know if he was just scaring himself out of his soul.
A person can feel a presence if somebody is watching you and that is what Gunner's feeling right now.
