CHAPTER 32 - PRESENT TIME

1127 Words
That kiss was meant to punish her, but why was she affected by it? She should have forgotten about the damn kiss, but she couldn’t! It was her first kiss, but Sebastian did it to punish her! She cursed at the misfortune of being kissed by a man who’s more evil than Lucifer himself. She lost count of how many times she brushed her teeth and cleaned her mouth, in the hope that she would forget about the kiss. Arghhh, she groaned at her stupidity when she recalled how she tried to reciprocate the kiss, and Sebastian insulted her more by laughing! The following morning, Sheena was surprised to see a man waiting outside her room. It was her first time seeing the man in The White Castles and her eyes narrowed at him. “Who are you?” She asked. “I’m your bodyguard, Miss.” He replied. A bodyguard? Wow, what a surprise! She’s only a cook but a bodyguard was assigned to her. She ignored the man and stormed towards Sebastian’s bedroom. After that damned kiss, she wasn’t ready to face him again, but she was left with no choice! Nothing was more ridiculous for a cook to have a bodyguard! Sheena pounded on Sebastian’s door and she didn’t stop until she heard the click of the doorknob. She was so worked up that she didn’t wait for him to open the door wide and pushed it. “You hired a bodyguard for me? Why?” She confronted him. Sebastian expected it to happen, so before he went to bed last night, he made sure to wear his pajamas. Even though he had only known her for a few days, he already had an idea how her brain works. “You know the answer to your question, Sheena.” “I don’t need a bodyguard, Sebastian! Why do you also have to treat me like this?” She lost control of her emotions and her voice shook a little while trying not to cry. Sebastian’s underhanded style reminded her of Armando Rodriguez. Sebastian was caught off guard at Sheena’s outburst. He expected her to be angry, but not sad. “I’m sorry,” he apologized. She shuddered at his fake apology and glared at him. “No, you’re not sorry, Sebastian. You want to be in control, and you want to control me. I’m not one of your women, so please leave me alone!” She told him. Sebastian’s jaw tightened after listening to her. Did he want to control her? She wasn’t one of his women, so he shouldn’t try to control her. But she was wrong! He didn’t want to control her, but he was scared of losing her! “I’m not trying to control you, Sheena. I’m protecting you!” he said. “Protection from whom? From you?” She asked. “I don’t know about your background but I took you in because I trusted my friend. Do I have to remind you that you’re not in the position to question my actions inside my property?” He didn’t want to sound like a dictator but he had to put some sense into his thick skull. The woman was stubborn and opinionated and he didn’t know how to deal with her anymore. Currently, he was torn between letting her stay in the manor or setting her free from the outside world. Sadness took over her when she realized what she was getting into. Sebastian was no different from her father, and she felt sick in her stomach. “I am not your property, Sebastian. I quit,” she said. Sebastian was stunned at her declaration and furrowed his brows. “What do you mean you’ll quit?” he asked. “I don’t want to work with you anymore,” she answered. At that moment, he wanted to kill Derrick for suggesting hiring a bodyguard for Sheena. His action has boomeranged and he’s bound to lose a lot. “No, let’s think about it, Sheena,” he said. She raised her eyebrows at Sebastian when he tried to negotiate. “If you want me to stay here, then you have to let them go.” She announced. “Fine. I will fire the bodyguard today,” he promised. “I’m not talking about the bodyguard, Sebastian. It’s about your women,” she said calmly. When it was clear that he didn’t want her to go, she realized that she could bargain with him about his women. “You’re asking for too much,” he said, and walked towards the window. The women had been a great help in heSebastianng his bruised ego, and he wasn’t ready to let them go. Well, not just yet! “You don’t need a hundred! Just keep at least one or two,” she suggested. Except for the private sanctuary, she had nothing against him. He may not hurt those women physically, and engaged in have consensus s*x,. He was still wrong to use women that way! “I can keep one or two,” he echoed the words she said. “Yes,” she replied. Sebastian turned around and made his decision. “Fine,” he said. “I’m keeping you and Cassandra, then.” He added. “Fair enough,” she agreed, even if hearing the other woman’s name hurt her. “I will continue to work as a cook here,” she added. “A cook? Hell, no! I’ll only let them go if you agree to replace all of them,” he announced and narrowed his eyes at Sheena as he waited for her response. Sheena’s mood darkened like the drapes on his window and she saw blood when he grinned! She was aghast at his boldness and walked out. But she stopped when she heard him laugh. He must have assumed she was a coward, but she couldn’t comply with his requirements. “I hope you get herpes soon,” she cursed. It was bad manners to wish someone ill, but he provoked the worst in her! When she got out of his room, she saw the bodyguard and ignored him. The man didn’t know anything wrong and she shouldn’t vent her anger on another person. She had barely got inside her room when Sebastian grabbed her arm. “Hey!” she shouted at him for being rude. “That was mean, Sheena,” he said. “What did it mean? When I wished you got a herpes soon? Don’t you think you’ll deserve it?” She didn’t mind hurting his feelings. She just didn’t care anymore, and he should know he was the one who was wrong, and not her! “You should apologize to me now,” he said.
