Karlee had contacted the landlord and Chris was meeting them at the store in a little while so they could all tour it together. Seth was on edge, eager to see Chris, but worried about the expansion plans.
He knew Karlee and Chris were excited about the possibilities, but something nagged at him. Usually he was on board with Karlee’s ideas. She could talk him into anything—and had many times. He chuckled as he tried to remember on just how many occasions he’d followed her lead as teenagers, only to end up with in-school suspension or a grounding at home. God, the things they’d pulled.
