Jerking in to an upright position, I screamed for my wolf. Sasha is missing. Completely and utterly missing. There is a hole inside of me where she used to be. While trying to feel for her, I realize that I can’t even feel the pack anymore. All those bonds, those lights that were always there are gone. I can faintly feel my mate, Alpha John, but that is all. How is this happening? What is going on? I try to dig deep inside of myself where I should be able to feel her. There is nothing. It is all just a deep dark void.
My screaming woke John up. He sat up next to me and took one look at my face. I watched as fear grew on his own face. “Baby? What’s wrong?” It didn’t take much to know something was wrong. Between my screaming and what I am sure is a stricken look on my face.
