The first thing I noticed as I walked in, was the pull towards the Alpha table. Lexi was sitting there, staring at me. When I caught her eyes I couldn’t look away. The whole room with everyone else seemed to disappear. I walked towards her and saw her stand to come meet me. As I got closer, she paused and held out her hand. Her action snapped me out of my own head. That’s when I remember everyone else was here.
Politely, I shook her hand and took my seat at the table. Thankfully, the only spot left open was right next to her. I tried to focus on the conversation on hand, but it was hard to do knowing I am right next to her. In fact our arms are touching. Hunter is anxious and pacing in my head. He wants to hold her and be with her.
