I didn't want to doubt Monica.
She is my best friend and the only survivor of the town.
No matter which way I looked at it, I shouldn't have doubted her.
But while working with Monica to awaken the gem with witchcraft, I still noticed something odd, and more than once.
She kept letting the gem absorb her power and then letting the gem transfer it to my body.
Although this didn't seem to be a problem, I was even moved by Monica's sacrifice of her powers for me.
