I've waited too long

Howard pov. The witch said, "If I find Gina's offspring, I can take it all back?" That was a little unbelievable to me. "What does that mean?" I asked afterward. "The secret. You need to comprehend it yourself." She gave a mysterious smile and then disappeared into the darkness of the night. It wasn't until her figure completely disappeared from my sight that I realized she had even forgotten to tell me her name. "Who the hell is she?" I asked in a low voice, but no one could give me an answer. The question confused me very briefly. After that, all my energy was devoted to thinking about the meaning of her words. I was in a very desperate situation, and after losing everything, the witch's words gave me hope. It was as if I was drowning in a flood and had found a piece of driftwood unintentionally. Lying on this driftwood, I kept drifting with the torrent. I didn't know where the end was, and I didn't know when I would get to shore. With nothing to lose, I could only drift and search in bewilderment. When I rescued Kayla from the cliff, I knew I had found the end, the place where I could go to shore. Even though I had been drifting alone for two long centuries. When I first saw Kayla, I was so excited and nervous. At that moment, I really thought Gina was back! I tried to revive her, but she had completed her transformation after drinking my blood and waking up again. And my sanity, too, became clear. Gina was dead. The woman in front of me was Kayla, the descendant of Gina! Although I had tried my best to act cold and rational, my brain could not help but see her as Gina until she killed a man named Henry. History is always strikingly similar. At this moment, I didn't want to continue to remember too much. Anyway, now I realized that they were two different people. I found Kayla only for revenge. After realizing this, I became much more indifferent to Kayla. She didn't let me down; she was a natural predator. "I've waited too long for this moment." In the spacious bedroom, I heard my own heavy sigh and Kayla's breathing as she slept. ************************************************* Kayla POV. When I regained consciousness again, I found myself lying on a wide bed. This bedroom was not mine. That was the first judgment I made upon opening my eyes. My bedroom was minimalist and modern, but the overall decor of this bedroom was very close to mid-century vintage style. Even the lamp set on the wall is vintage style. The lampshade is painted with richly colored paintings. The warm yellow light is being projected through the lampshade, illuminating the entire room. Where is this place? I subconsciously pulled the covers off my body and stepped on the wooden floor with my bare feet. There was a whole strange painting on the wall, which looked like some beasts from ancient times, and they were running in one direction in unison like they were chasing something. This wall painting took up three whole walls, and the only wall that was spared was a whole large window. At this point, the heavy dark curtains were tightly drawn, not letting in some light. I remembered my last moment of memory before I passed out, and it was the strange man saying some strange things to me. After that, I woke up and was here. However, I clearly remember that moment was late at night. "Could it still be night?" I said to myself, moving towards the curtain. Without the slightest hesitation, I vigorously pulled open the curtain, and the blinding sunlight instantly shone in and wrapped me up. "Ah...!" I couldn't help but let out a miserable scream. Because the sunlight was burning my skin, the searing pain was like nothing I had ever experienced before.. After the extreme pain, I even felt like I would turn into ashes and disappear from this world forever ...... "Damn it!" A sharp cursing voice suddenly sounded. Out of the corner of my eye, I caught a glimpse of a dark shadow quickly barging in. After that, the curtains were vigorously pulled shut. The room reverted to its previous dimness without a trace of sunlight. I fell to my knees, paralyzed, and wrapped my arms tightly around myself. At that moment, I felt my cheeks, my arms, my bare feet, the skin of my entire body burning. They were being burned by the sun, which was ridiculous! For the past 20 years, my favorite thing to do has been to bask in the sun and conceive my comic book stories. But at that moment, I couldn't believe that my skin burned from the scorching heat whenever I touch the sun. What the hell was all this about? "You are looking for death! From now on, you are not allowed to open the curtains without my permission!" A voice full of anger sounded above my head again; simultaneously, an object smashed directly on my body. I subconsciously grabbed the object and took a closer look, but it was a 500ml blood bag filled with bright red blood. "Why did you give me this?" I subconsciously threw the blood bag on the floor and wrapped my arms around myself again. My skin still showed signs of burns, and the pain still tugged at the nerves in my brain. When I lifted my head with great effort, I was met with a pair of blue eyes as deep as the ocean. "Did you bring me here? What exactly is this place?" I asked with difficulty as I endured the pain. "You don't need to know any of this. You just need to do as I say!" That cold voice rang out again.
