“I’ve been very busy these past weeks. Sorry I couldn’t get in touch with you.” Ethan quickly apologized to his mother. He began feeling greatly ashamed even though he didn’t do anything wrong.
“Your father and I are having a family gathering, we’d like you to come.” The woman said to her son who seemed to be more than confused. “No, rather you must come.”
“Why would you have a family gathering? I thought you didn’t like being around dad?” Ethan asked, somehow it didn’t make sense for him, this entire situation.
“Don’t you think it’s about time you start thinking of the future? Like finding a wife and settling down with a nice job?” The mother asked, her tone sounded less than caring. It was more like she was scolding the student.
