‘The very fact this young lady broke down into tears after hearing we’d sent the boy to prison means she feels guilty for it… But then why on earth would she accuse him of something like this in the first place?’ The officer wondered to himself as he waited for Anastasia to wipe away her tears.
“I’m so sorry for lying!” Anastasia continued crying and bawling her eyes out non-stop for what seemed to be an eternity in the police station.
“At this rate nothing’s going to get resolved.” The only female police officer on duty muttered as she approached the girl. “Listen, I’ll need you to cooperate with us so we can solve this, alright?” She spoke in a gentle voice as to not further stress out the already emotionally shaken teen.
