Chapter 10 On the sixth day since setting off from Belize City, a sharp southward bend in the river finally came into sight. This was where the river changed course and would now carry them further away from their final destination deep in the Guatemalan jungle, so at this point, they would leave the river behind and travel overland to the border. They took their time hiding the rafts as best they could, covering them with vines, ferns and a variety of banana leaves.
