I stopped dead in my tracks and turned around. The headlights turned off. The door opened and Malakai stepped out. My eyes Slowly adjusted to his tall figure and I could feel myself start to panic. I had just blatantly lied to him.  Practically right to his face. And here I thought he'd be drunk, fooling around with that girl.  I was still standing there lost in my thoughts as I heard his voice again. "Don't make me put you in the car." I knew he would do it too.  On one hand I felt horribly stupid, scared and nervous and on the other hand I was so incredibly relieved to see him. I was terrified walking home in the dark.  Slowly I walked over, paused for a second to look at him across the car where I could see his eyes were bearing into me and then quickly got in and shut the door.  A
