When Arrogance Clash

CHAPTER 20

                   Alexis POV

My cheeks turn red and the useless lump forms on my throat again and I'm lost for words, this can not be happening again, Lord what have I done to you, I think to myself. He is so gorgeous and smells so good.

From nowhere he smiles and begins staring at my lips with l**t in his eyes and I can feel butterflies in my tummy, he starts to lean towards me and I close my eyes waiting for the perfect kiss but it never comes. he simply let's go of me and I drop a*s flat on the ground, like really hard.

“Oops I'm so sorry, are you alright, I got a beating this morning at work and I'm feeling pain in my arms. My boss attacked me at work today. I just couldn't hold you for long,” he says out with a grin

I'm seated flat on the floor and speechless, all the butterflies in my tummy liquify into Venom, I get up and charge at me to which he runs back into the restaurant, fortunately for him my brother blocks me.

“Breath Alexis breath,” Lukas says 

"Did you see what he did to me Lukas???

"Yes I watched the whole thing, he let go of you, but please do not make a scene here, you can go and trip him at work tomorrow.

"Am going to fire him, Lukas am going to fire him, he can not get away with humiliating me like this, Let me just go and give him a warning.

"No Alexis this is exactly what he wants, leave him and come and fight another day.

"Seriously Lukas??? are you enjoying this mouse and cat fight between two grown-ups, Page asks

"These are going to be good night stories for my cute Latino nephews and nieces,” Lukas replies laughing

I punch Lukas in the stomach, "next time I am going to kick you between the legs” I say out while wiping my tears.

Before I could continue, I see the old man and the insect coming towards us, and I tighten my fist.

"Hello Miss Rosewell, we haven't officially met but I'm Philipe and this is Cedito my nephew,"

from nowhere I burst out laughing and everyone looks at me like am mad, "i'm so sorry I didn't mean to laugh, it's just......... you can go on please do not mind me,” I'm so embarrassed right now.

"Well my Nephew has got something to say to you, Cedito! he orders slapping his head. I almost burst out laughing again, the name is really funny.

“I'm actually confused on which part I should apologize, she is the one who beat me up and pinned my arms, so if I was unable to contain her heavy body then it's definitely not my fault.” the insect replies.

The nerve of this man did he????

"Cedito why are you like this? this is your boss?” his uncle reminds him

“Please ma'am accept our apologies, cedito's grandparents dropped his head and he can not reason properly”

"Uncle can you please stop embarrassing me,” he cries out.

"Hello, I'm Lukas, it's nice to finally meet my in-laws.” Lukas interrupts us.

“What! who??” both Cedrian and his uncle ask at once.

"Lukas stop embarrassing me, why are you so stupid,” I cry out, I'm now wishing for the ground to swallow me.

“Everything is okay now,” Lukas ignores me and continues you guys can go in, “ Alexis is fine sir it was all just a misunderstanding,” he adds while dragging me. My legs are so weak, I can not believe this fool of a brother I have, i'm so embarrassed right now first for not controlling laughing to his name, "Cedito" it's actually cute and funny and if that was not embarrassing enough, my brother called them in-laws. I want to die, Lukas just kill me now, I cry out.
