Permelo Town
After a long journey. The duo find themselves in another town but this time however...
"I sense a dungeon, it's overflowing with mana" Trevor said boldly.
"Now we just have to find it" MK noted.
They entered the town and saw it was much bigger than the places they had been to before, with more than a total of 30 houses along with business facilities suck as recovery centers, a town hall and weird enough an oil shop, that sold exclusively oil.
"Oil? They have an entire shop dedicated to oil?" Trevor said in disbelief.
Guess it must be useful for some reason, let's go check it out.
The duo then entered the shop to be greeted by a father and son Duo,
"Welcome to.....", "The oil tavern!" The father and son sang respectively.
"That's a catchy tone if I so say so my myself" MK complimented them.
"Thank you very much, so are you here to purchase some oil with your grandson?" The father said, he had short brown hair, and wore a black work shirt.
"For him I suggest, the beard oil, since his face looks too smooth" the son added, he looked just like his father but Younger and he had a mustache and beard.
"Yah not interested(smooth)" Trevor said by rubbing his chin.....
"Anyway what's up with this town and Oil?" Trevor asked curiously.
"Well that's a long story, that I'm willing to tell so take a sit" the father said and began rambling.
"Damn you've done it now!" The son quickly left not wanting to hear his father's story for the 100th time.
MK and Trevor then proceeded to listen to the man's long story.
"The town was once poor as poor can be, being sold from one Noble to the other on till it was finally abandoned to dry up and become a barren piece of land however...
"My ancestor, Clark Ralton, a young man with a dream of making his own business said, he would find a way to make the town useful again, but it wasn't that easy, for starters the land could not bare any type of plant, and that couldn't sustain wild life, so he thought of the only thing left to do...
Dig for oil, they called him a mad man, but he didn't care he kept digging, for days, months, years until finally the gods blessed his hard work with black gold.
"Oil oil!" He screamed in happiness as he struck big time, from then on the town was finally recognized by the kingdom once again, but this time thanks to all of Clark's efforts he kept the town out off the hands of the Nobels and renaming the town permelo due to respect for his late wife who always supported him Permela.
Generations and each Ralton came up with a way to utilize the oil to it's fullest
Healing oil
Mana recovery oil
Hard oil
Stink oil
Freezing oil
Gas oil
And now my generation, Acid bomb oil" the man said holding a glass of green oil.
"By the way my name is Alfred Ralton the 9th generation of the Oilmancers my son is Walter and my daughter is Mary who will be the 10th generation" Alfred said proudly.
"That's really interesting, also you have a daughter?" Trevor asked.
"Yes she's a mischievous girl, almost 17 at the moment, she's a wildcard when trying to make Oil, she's also fund of combining them" he whispered.
"Wow, I'd like to meet her and see some combinations"Trevor said wide eyed.
"Oh my, developing an interest in girls now aren't yah?" MK teased.
"No I just...." Before Trevor could defend him self the 3 guys heard a cry from outside "kyaaaaaaaaaahhh!".
They all rushed out of the tavern to see a little girl almost about to get run over by a rogue horse carriage "kyahhhh help me!!" She cried as she had wounded her leg.
"Arti-......" Before Trevor could even react a glass bottle was thrown at the horse
"Whiiiiiiiiii!" The horse screamed then stopped unnaturally as if it was possessed by the purple liquid on it's head.
"Fear not citizens! Oil mask is here to save the day!" A voice came from one of the buildings everyone turned.
"Oil mask?" Trevor turned to see a humanoid wearing a white cat like mask, the being wore tight clothes like spandex colored black, with gray boots and gray gloves and a gray cape, the being also held many bottles of oil on a belt.
"Yah that weirdo has been coming around and doing deeds for about a year now, if he really wanted to be a hero he'd show us his face" Alfred said with contempt.
"So it's a wannabe vigilante" MK noted.
"Here child" the vigilante jumps from the building and lands normally next to the injured girl and rubs some yellow oil on the wound.
"Wow it's healed! Thanks Oil mask!" The girl said as her injured leg was healed like magic.
"Wow, that guy actually ain't bad", "I love you oil mask!", "Thank you oil mask!" The crowd said as the hero then vanished out of sight "till next time citizens!".
"What a creep" Alfred hissed.
"That's one interesting fellow ain't he Trevor?" MK asked only to be met with silence.
"Trevor?!" The old man screamed as he noticed the farmer had vanished.
Back alley
The vigilante then rushes to an unknown location and takes off his mask with a surprise.
"Haaaaaaa, that felt good" the person removed the mask and smiled revealing shoulder length wavy brown hair with long eyelashes, Oil mask was a girl.
"Huh! You're a girl?!!!" Trevor said as he appeared in a burst of purple smoke.
"Kyahhhh! You saw me!!! Wait a phantom!!! A reaperrrr!" The girl screamed in fear of the farmer.
The two then cleared up the misunderstanding with each other and discussed
Trevor folded his hands "So you are Alfred's daughter, didn't expect that" Trevor said.
"Yes my name is Mary Ralton, as much as I like making oil with my dad and brother, I'm more suited for this, helping people and fighting" she said with stars in her eyes.
"So that's why you are parading like a vigilante, also how did you change your voice like that, I really thought you were a man" Trevor asked.
"Voice change oil, my original recipe!, It changes the person's voice for 30 minutes" Mary said happily showing her bottle of red oil.
"Awesome, can you show me more of your oil collect" Trevor said amazed by Mary's invention.
"Certainly!(I've never seen someone as interested in my strange oil like this" her eyes lit up as she happily told the farmer about her oil combinations.
Meanwhile
MK is searching through the town for Trevor
"Where did that boy wonder off to" MK wondered.
"Wait... No way!" MK yelled and quickly held his mouth, he saw. A dark skinned man wearing a red cloak, he appeared to have only one hand.
(A red guard here, of all places when I'm separated from that brat, my luck is s**t today) MK continued to trace the guard, hoping to get him into an isolated area and finishing him off.
Back with Trevor
The farmer and the Oilmancer, were enjoying their time together strange enough, Trevor saw himself in Mary and Mary saw herself in Trevor as well.
How both had an elder brother who was better at doing things then them, and how they didn't want to disappoint their fathers.
"Rushing like water, burning like fire, liquid that lights up the sky, age doesn't stop it, just makes it stronger, liquid black gold light our lives" Mary sang in a very beautiful way it memorized Trevor fully.
"You sure can sing" Trevor said not taking his eyes off her.
"Yah Permela our ancestors was a songstress, somehow Oilmancy and singing runs in our family" Mary explained.
"Wow, like seriously your family is amazing" Trevor said in awe.
"Yah that's why I'm trying my best not to disappoint them" Mary said in a sad tone.
"You can't disappoint them, you are great in your own right!" Trevor cheered her on.
"Thanks, you're the first person that has supported me, wait weren't you looking for a dungeon?" Mary asked.
"Huh? Haaaaaaa! That's right I completely forgot!!" Trevor shouts.
"There's a dungeon in near the town but most people ignore it, since it's difficult to enter" Mary explained.
"Can you take me there, I'm actually something like a dungeon hunter, I'll complete it in no time!" Trevor stuck out his chest.
"No problem, anything for a friend" the young girl smiled.
"Yah(friend!!! She's my first female friend.... My girl......Fri.....no not that!) Trevor's face turned red as he faced away from Mary so she wouldn't see his face.
Lingering dungeon
Near a forest.
The door to the dungeon was made of white clay and had three ring drawing on it.
"So this is the dungeon", Trevor pushed the door open and saw that even the road was made of clay.
"Yep, hey can I come with you, I've got my oil mask costume and gear" Mary said carrying a bag.
"Alright but be careful, I Don't want my friend hurt" said Trevor caring about Mary's wellbeing.
"Awww, you're so nice hehehehe" Mary giggles.
The two enter the dungeon unaware that the path had been damaged by previous visitors...
Back with MK
The old man had finally cornered the cloaked man.
"Oh what are you doing here boy?" MK asked.
"Sighhhhhhhhhh, my name is Chris, I'm working for the red guards, I Know you're in leagues with that farmer" Chris said with fire in his eyes.
(s**t, he knows about Trevor, it seems personal though) MK noted "a Farmer, what did he do? Cut off your hand?" He teased.
"Tskkkkkk, he stole something from me! Now you better tell me where he is or!" Chris yelled.
"Or what you'll beat up an old man?" MK mocked the one handed guy.
'fummemeeeee' a fire broke out from Chris's only hand "One burnt old man won't affect the growth of our kingdom" Chris said as he pointed the fist at MK.
Sweat dropped from MK's cheek (it just had to be fire didn't it, my luck truly is s**t today) MK hissed under his breath as he was now forced to confront something he wasn't ready for.
Back at the dungeon
Trevor found it strange how he didn't see an puzzle to solve like he did in the dark skull dungeon from before.
"Hey Trevor, is it supposed to be this boring? I thought dungeons had monsters, puzzles and trials? Where's the thrill?!" Mary complained about the lack of action.
"Yah it's confusing me too, is there a possibility someone has already cleared it?" Trevor asked wondering if the dungeon was already completed.
"Nah whenever a dungeon is cleared there's a light that appears and alerts everyone in a mile radius, it's too close to the town to miss it" Mary reassured the farmer.
"Alright let's keep moving forward" Trevor said pumped and continued on his way with Mary by his side.
The duo went forward until they emerged in a deep cave like area with blue rocks.
"Is this the last stage?" Mary made a game reference.
"Then an artifact should be here(I just forgot I didn't tell MK about the dungeon.... Oh well) Trevor said still moving forward as if nothing was wrong.
Deep in the center of the cave was the body of a hulking blue beast, it was bleeding with green blood and on top of the dead body was two girls one held in her hands a clay ball that seemed to be the artifact of this dungeon, while the other was storing the fold I. a magical sack ...
"Ugh look Emmy, so that's the farmer? He looks uglier than I thought" a girl with bright spiky red hair said disrespectfully.
"You're right Abby, He doesn't look that strong as well, what a let down, at least we had fun with this troll" another girl said her messy blue hair stained with green blood.
"No....no way" Trevor said shivering with fear.
"Who are they Trevor?" Mary asked unaware of the current situation.
Donning their red jackets the girls add ressed themselves "Abigail Strain, Chain of the red guards!" The red head shouted.
"Emilia Strain, Tempest of the red guards" the one with messy blue said politely.
"Together we are the Strain sisters! And we are here to capture the reaper!" The two sirls said in unison.
"Reaper?, They're after you Trevor?" Mary asked.
"Red guards.... So early... Mary stand back, I'll take care of them!" Trevor yelled taking his sickle.
"Oh so instead of running away you want to fight" Abigail said smiling.
"How bold" Emilia said cracking her knuckles.
"Trevor..." Mary said as she looked at his back.
"{Arti-shift!!!!!} Trevor released his weapon as he prepared to do battle...
To be continued...
