I walked in, and I saw my brother and dad with their eyes closed. Alex had a tube down his throat and wires all over him. Dad had wired all over him as well. I gasped, bringing my hand up to my mouth to stop the scream that was making its way up my throat. Mom looks at me and my heart breaks for her. Her eyes are puffy and red.
“Aksana”, mom whimpered before rushing towards me and hugging me. This makes her break down and I hold her tight.
“I’m here mom. It’s okay. I'm here now” I said to her as I hugged her. I can’t imagine the pain she is going through. Once her sobs stopped, I kissed the top of her head.
