My villa!

When I opened my eyes, I found out that they were on an isolated road. I could see no homes around it. The roads took me to the mountains, the mountains where I was raised. The river where I loved to swim with Neil. Why does it feel like he? deliberately taking me closer to the memories I left behind?

“Where are you taking me? You said it’s your house?” I asked him. This road was getting to our old villa. Did he buy his house near it? I was confused.

“I told you to sit quietly. You will come to know in a few minutes.” he said and shouted at the driver.

“Speed up the car. It looked like she was eagerly waiting for her surprise.

Neil ordered and the driver really speeded up the car so fast that I was almost about to fall aside.

The car stopped at the place which was close to my heart. Carter villa. Neil opened the door and went out. I looked at him with surprised eyes. Why did he bring me to my older villa? I was kicked out of it five years ago and never came here after that. I opened the door and went out of it. I was shocked to see that the name of the house was changed from Carter Villa to Yang Shang villa.

“You bought this house?” I asked him with my eyebrows raised.

“What did you think when I told you about my house?” He said while staring at my face angrily. I understood that he bought this villa even though I didn’t know the reason. Maybe it’s a part of his revenge.

“I am getting inside.” Neil waved his hands towards the driver and asked him to park the car in the yard. The yard where I used to park my car. Neil went inside the house and I followed him quickly.

I don’t know whether he was eager to watch the villa from inside, but I was more excited about it. For me, it was the collection of huge memories from my childhood to my teenagers.

I was watching each and everything there with so much satisfied heart. I was glad that, even for revenge, Neil Taylor bought this house and I could see it again.

Amy villa was a big billa that resides at one corner of our city. My dad was closely attached to nature, so instead of buying a palace, he bought the villa beside the Yang Ye river.

The villa was big and luxurious and full of facilities. He named it Ami because he bought it a few days after the birth of me, Amelia Carter. The big lawn in front of the house was giving my mind sooth.

“Remember the day when I was blamed for the thief in this villa and kicked out of this house in front of you? You were standing here.” Neil pointed at one edge of the stairs and smirked viciously. How can I forget that day when I cried and did not have food for a few days? I knew that Neil would not steal anything from the villa but all the evidence was against him. Even if I told my father about it, he was helpless.

“Yes, I remember that day,” I said with a bitter smile on my face. Neil remembered where I was standing. Why didn’t he remember the guilt in my face? Guilt for not saving him.

“Now you have to live the same life as I lived before.” Neil’s voice became harsh. It was more like he ordered me.

“What? What did you mean?” I asked him to clarify. As long as I remember, I have always loved him since my childhood. I did not treat him like my enemy. For me, he was always someone special whom I kept close to my heart.

“You will be a servant here. Servant who works the day and night, you have a different job,” he said while rubbing his lips. I stared at him with tapered eyes.

“I am ready to work at anything in the morning, but if you want to ruin me again, then kill me instead.” I shouted back at him. What does he think about me? Am I a p********e?

“I don’t want to waste my twenty-five million just by killing you. Although I hate you, I won’t just kill you. I will make you suffer so that you will surely beg your death from me.” He said, and left the place. I kept watching him leaving for the upper room. I wondered why he did this to me?

When two ex-lovers meet, they ask about how their life is. Even if two enemies meet after a long time, they don't have this much hatred that we both had.

“Hey, that’s your room. You will come to me at night.” He pointed over to the servants' room where he used to live with his family. I shook my head and went inside. I wouldn’t mind living there as long as I am staying in the villa.

While getting inside, my eyes went to the frame of the table. The photo in the frame was changed but the frame belonged to my mom's dad. We had our family photo inside it. I turned back to see the initials I made on its back in my childhood.

“A for Amelia and C for Carter.” I showed it to my dad and dad started laughing.

My Dad has enough debt to pay that bank has to sold his house after his death. I was kicked out by my new owner and am now even allowed to take a single photo frame from it.

I went into the room and sat on the bed. My eyelids became heavy and it felt like my eye was about to sleep now. My eyes were really closed and merged in the memory of this house.

“Ahhhh….” I opened my eyes wide when I felt ice-cold water on my body. I screamed because the atmosphere was already cold and it felt like I was frozen to death.

“You are not here to have a rest. Go and do some household work. You are not worth twenty thousand, but I paid twenty million to you. Show your usefulness.” YNeil shouted in my face.
