Hannah walked Jessie through the drizzle the following morning, returning from the walk damp and chilled. After drying Jessie off with a towel, she took a long, hot shower. Eager to get her mind off of the treadmill of thoughts about Luke, she ducked the odd feeling she had about the file boxes she’d picked up from June and started going through them. She quickly realized the boxes were filled with her parents’ personal papers, encountering birth certificates, social security cards, and the like.
