Chapter 5 - Nick VS Mike

For a moment, they were silent while Cheryl and her gang stared in shock at the incident. They are afraid of Axel but also curious about the next scene.

"Excuse me," someone's voice came behind Cheryl and Ebony. Nick came across the rows of Cheryl's and her friends' positions. The guy, who looked quiet and handsome simultaneously, got rid of the bodies of Cheryl and Ebony, who were stuck together.

"Are you okay?" asked Nick, who swiftly removed Andra's body from Hannah's tiny body.

"Cough, cough…." Hannah coughed from shortness of breath. Axel's lips covered hers, and Axel's athletic body pressed on her, making it hard for Hannah to breathe.

"Axel, don't pretend," scolded Nick.

"You ruin my day," Axel answered curtly. What they all don't realize, Axel smiles while stroking his lips. 'Sweet lips.'

"What are you looking at?" Axel glared at Cheryl and her friends.

"Girls, let's go," Cheryl asked her friends to leave the place.

"Thank you," Hannah smoothed her hair and uniform.

"Are you okay?" Nick repeated, wanting to check on Hannah's condition.

"I'm fine; I just fell."

"Never mind, Nick. She's okay, right?" Axel glared at Hannah.

"Tsk," Nick chuckled. "It's your fault. You should apologize, Axel. After all, you made her fall."

"Why me?" said Axel disagreeing.

"Your position at the top, you must be the one who made Hannah fall?"

"Nick, don't quarrel, okay? Because of this girl, you're mad at me?"

Things started heating up.

"Enough," Hannah intervened. "Let's eat; the soup is getting cold."

"Okay, let's go." Nick walked ahead and was followed by Hannah. Axel chuckled angrily, following the two of them.

"Why are your faces scrunched up like that?" asked Isaac while chewing his pizza.

"Here, the meatballs are getting cold." Noah pulled a chair for Hannah.

"Thanks, Noah."

"Tsk, how often have you said thank you in a few minutes? You're the most polite girl I've ever known." Noah handed her a glass of juice.

"Ouch," shouted Noah, who was hit on the head with a spoon by Axel.

"Don't prevènt." quipped Andra.

"Crap, you so mean to hit my forehead. Next week I have a mini concert at the Galaxy cafe; you are responsible if my forehead is bruised," grumbled Noah did not accept.

Isaac laughed while Nick looked at Axel with an unusual look.

"Noah, let's eat." Hannah handed over half of the pizza.

"Thanks, hun," said Noah, deliberately provoking Axel's emotions.

Axel quickly chewed the pizza, which felt hard in his throat. 'Weird; why do I feel irritated, anyway?'

A few days later.

"Hannah, have you gotten the compensation money? It's been three days, you know?"

"Uh, Mike." Hannah is suddenly confused because of the hectic school and work activities. She should have remembered about the compensation that the school would ask for.

"Do you already have money?"

"That …." Hannah fixed her glasses.

From afar, Axel and his friends watched the interactions between Mike and Hannah. On the other hand, Cheryl and her gang did the same thing.

"Axel, I think the class president has feelings for Hannah." said Isaac.

"It's none of my business," Axel replied coolly.

"That's true; from the start, I saw that Mike cared about Hannah," Noah confirmed Isaac's words.

Nick frowned and then looked at Hannah, who was looking down while squeezing the hem of her uniform. It could be seen that the girl was blushing.

"Nick, where are you going?" asked Isaac, confused when he saw Nick approaching Hannah and Mike.

"It seems that Nick is serious," said Noah.

Axel sighed as he stared at Nick's back as he began to walk away.

"Hannah, can I ask you a favor?"

"Nick?" Hannah is surprised by Nick's sudden appearance.

"Ask me for help?" Hannah frowned.

"I want to look for a book at the library; you often come to a corner at the library. You must understand where the book I'm looking for is."

Mike glanced at Nick with a suspicious look.

"What book? I can help too." interrupted Mike, who didn't want Hannah and Nick to be alone in the library where the atmosphere was quiet.

"The Beast and Beauty book," Nick said, annoyed.

Mike grinned, then laughed loudly, "Hahaha."

Hannah looked at the boys in turn.

"Hannah, come on!" Nick pulled Hannah's hand without preamble.

"Hey, what are you doing holding Hannah's hand?" Mike exclaimed.

Nick didn't care and even quickened his pace to leave Mike.

"Axel," Isaac whistled while raising and lowering his eyebrows.

"I don't care," Axel said, annoyed, and then walked to the library.

"He is lying." Noah trotted after Axel.

"They are both severe with this girl," complained Isaac, who inevitably followed his friends.

"Erm ... Nick, let go of my hand," asked Hannah.

Nick looked up and smiled.

"If you don't let go, how can she find a book to help you?" Mike separated Nick's hand from Hannah's.

"Prevènt," Mike said, preventing Nick from replying.

"Are you serious about asking me to find a book?" asked Hannah.

"I'm always serious about anything," Nick said while ruffling Hannah's hair.

"Erm... you don't have to act like a hero in the movie, do you?" Mike tries to mediate between them so that Nick's chances of flirting don't work.

"I'm Nick Seacrest; never play around with anything." Nick put his mouth close to Hannah's ear. "especially when it comes to matters of the heart."

Suddenly Hannah felt awkward because there was a strange feeling in her heart and brain, like a dark sky, then suddenly became bright because of the eruption of fireworks.

"Hannah, are you okay?" Mike patted Hannah's shoulder.

"Uh..." Hannah smiled awkwardly, then left Mike and Nick, who were having a cold war through their eyes.

Axel watched the three of them from behind the glass. He refused to enter the school library.

"Axel, I'm coming in," Noah said goodbye, wanting to see the continuation of the drama between them.

"I'm curious about their love triangle story, " said Isaac, who wanted to provoke Axel.

"Shìt," Axel cursed.

"Do you want to look for a romantic novel?" Hannah was entirely surprised by Nick's reading taste.

Nick nodded while looking into Hannah's eyes.

'What is it? Why is he looking at me like that.' Hannah grumbled because she was surprised by Nick's attention.

"Right over there, Hannah." Mike pushed Hannah's body towards a row of books dominated by pink covers.

Nick is annoyed with Mike trying to mess up his act.

"Ahh… this," Hannah squealed cheerfully.

"What?" Mike and Nick answered together. They flanked Hannah while pressing their heads together.

"This," squeaked Hannah, who felt nervous because she was flanked by two guys who were … super cool.

"How come I've seen this book, huh?" Mike said, putting his head on Hannah's head.

"Judging from the title, I like it." Nick also did the same thing. He was laying his head against Hannah.

"Oh my God, they attack from two sides," said Isaac.
