8 THE NEW HOUSELek usually got up at the same time as her mother and daughter, at about six o’ clock, Craig got up about an hour later, so the routine wasn’t really disturbed when Friday came around, but there was definitely a new sense of urgency about the house. Lek prepared him an English breakfast as best as provisions allowed and it was on the table at eight o’clock. By eight fifteen, he was being ushered into the shower and by eight thirty, Lek was standing by her Mum’s motorcycle.
“Shall we go into town now, darling, and get the money for our new house? Don’t forget, it is Friday. If we go too late have too many people and must wait long time. It is good to give the lady the money for the house for her wedding soon too. You want to go now? I am ready and can take you.”
