“You’re really bringing him over today?” Valerie asked in an interested voice.
“I am. You wanted to meet him, right?” Brian said as if it was obvious.
“I’m just a bit surprised you agreed to it. You’re usually so distant and secretive for your personal things.” Valerie said as she messed up the other’s hair with her hand.
“It’s an old habit of mine to be like that. Sorry if it felt like I didn’t trust you or something like that…” Brian said in an apologetic voice. ‘It’s not like I wanted to lie to you either…’ He thought to himself.
