“What are you two doing back so early?” Amanda asked the two students upon their arrival.
“We had a situation.” Ken said as he turned to his mother. “Can we talk for a bit?” He asked as he pulled on his mother’s hand.
“What is it?” Amanda followed the boy to the hallway.
“We’ll come back to S city with you.” Ken said with a serious voice.
“I’m happy to hear that… but why did you decide this all of a sudden?” Amanda asked in a quiet voice.
“I feel like it’s safer there… for Lynn.” Ken said as he turned to meet his mother’s eyes. “If his family is here is V city than we’ll simply move away. I don’t want him to be anywhere near them…”
“Are you worried? Lynn is a big boy, he can take care of himself.” Amanda said with confidence in her voice.
