Rakesh found himself on the familiar trail once more, stumbling forward like an overly excited drunk man, but he didn't care. His only goal was to get back to the woman who had laid siege to his mind since that moonlit night when he first laid eyes on her. At last, her cottage came into view and he saw her sitting on her front step thumbing through a book. Her gaze lifted and met him just as he closed the distance between them. The two silently stared at one another before Josie finally cracked a smile. “We've got to stop meeting like this." She sighed. Josie gently took Rakesh by the hand and led him inside. The two sat on opposite ends of the couch, completely silent for what felt like an eternity. She felt like they were akin to two embarrassed teenage wallflowers at a middle school
