Merri walked into Harker’s office. “Whatever you did to Alison, fix it.”
“It’s none of your business, Merri.” He looked up from his computer. It’d been two days since the night at La Petite Mort Club and Alison still wouldn’t talk to him.
“I knew you did something.” Merri sat on the chair in front of his desk. “Whatever it was...apologize.”
“There's nothing to apologize for.” He was waiting for Alison to get over her pique to talk to her about cancelling the contract all together.
“Nothing to apologize for? You broke her, Harker.”
“What are you talking about?” He laughed.
“I've never met anyone as positive as Alison in my life. No matter what, she was always full of happy energy but now, she’s quiet and sad.”
