Chapter 7

I turn to look at the culprit that has been walking by my side for about a minute now, and shockingly it is a hot male walking beside me. He smiles at me after realizing that I've been staring at him then I quickly look anywhere but him. Okay, this is unusual. His hotness makes the girls around us swoon and I can say he is as hot as Alexander. Wait Alexander? don't think about him Vi. He's just an annoying creature that shouldn't be born to this world. He looks at me and smiles bigger. Wow, he is so hot that makes me wish that I can claw my eyes out then give them to him to prove that his hotness makes people blind. He just keeps looking at me with that smile on his face. Ladies and gentlemen, I think I just found my crush. He grabs my hand and drags me towards the exit, I don't stop and follow him willingly because he is hot I mean who would ever reject him right?. Okay, Vi, you need to stop it. We stop in the courtyard, by a bench and he releases my hand. I sit on the bench, he sits beside me then take a deep breath before facing me. "Look, I'm Ken. Would you be my friend?" He blurts out suddenly and pretty much makes my hopes go down the drain. Wait, his accent, oh God, I want to melt. I realize something, why does he want to be my friend, first Lexi and now him. Is there a bet on who can be my friend? I mean it makes sense, isn't it? "Why do you want to be my friend?" I ask him with a straight face not wanting to show him any trace of emotion. I'm very skeptical of him, I mean why would someone this hot, want to be my friend? That's would be weird right?. "Ummm. I've known you a while and I want to be your friend?" He said which comes out as more of a question as he scratches the back of his head. "But why now?" I ask as I bite my lip. "Because I love how you stand up for yourself. I saw you in the gym yesterday, the way you stood up to those guys. I have this urge to protect you. I want a friend that has a really high self-confidence as they look so amazing to befriend with and you're the perfect friend for me." He replies, looking everywhere but at me with a tinge of blush on his cheek. Cute. "What?" I look at him in surprise. I was speechless. Utterly without words. "So now I need to be your friend. I will protect you from Xander. I know about their stupid bet." He looks me straight in the eyes. "How come you've gone so far and want to be my friend?" I ask, feeling warm for some unknown reason. "I know how it feels to be alone, I'm gay. In middle school, I was bullied constantly until someone encouraged me to stand up for myself and she is a lot like you." He says. "You're gay?" I ask in shocked, not hearing the last bit of his sentence. He nods his head while blushing. "Do you know how many young ladies hearts, you just broke." I teased. My poor heart, how can he? Bye my crush, but it's okay as long as he didn't fall for any other girl. "Hahaha... Just forget it. Back to topic, I will be your friend okay?" He smiles. Gosh, how handsome can he get? I just nod my head in response, but I don't need to trust him. Trusting someone will only lead to a broken heart. I don't want to be hurt anymore but, I don't deserve to be happy. I'm just a disgrace for my mother.
