I walked inside my room and took a shower. Arran is my mate. Nixie, my dragon, wanted to go to him, but I am afraid that the more time he spends with me, the more he discovers how broken I am.
I took my dress out and washed my face removing every bit of makeup from my skin. I sat on my bed, and I was unable to control the tears that ran freely out of my eyes.
I have been working out with my therapist on accepting that what happened to me was something cruel, that was not my fault, and even Arran said it as well.
But the way things happened down there in the dungeon, the way he saw me today, and the things he said, really brought everything back. Every repressed feeling, every moment I have forced myself to forget, everything, came back in full force.
