Chapter 7“A meal? What are we having?” Byron quizzed Herne as they entered his living quarters. Something in Byron’s tone told Herne that he didn’t normally get such an offer. He glanced sideways at the smaller man whose attention was on Herne’s apartment. He seemed to virtually vibrate with excitement. The reaction puzzled Herne. After all, there was only one real reason for them being together. He’d just wanted to make it a little more special than a quick tumble. “You need to eat, I need to eat.” Herne kept his tone deliberately casual, but couldn’t disguise his appreciative looks at the pretty blond. “You’re not in any hurry are you?” Herne actually hoped that Byron would stay the night, although he was ready for the polymorph to run out on him. “No more than you are.” Byron purred
