Chapter 22

871 Words

"Then what about your parents and family? Now that you have grown up, have you thought about looking for them?" a reporter asked. "My parents and family?" Dalton glanced at the Walker family's luxury car and sneered. "Of course they're dead! They died terribly. I heard they used to be wealthy, but they were robbed of everything and thrown out on the streets, begging like homeless people in ragged clothes, dirty and disgusting, covered in filth! Eventually, they got hit by a big truck, and their bones shattered. They died a horrible death." The reporters exchanged uneasy glances, sensing something was wrong. Dalton's words were too harsh. Helen let out a painful sob, covering her mouth to hold back her tears. Flavia supported her, feeling guilty and unable to accept what was happening.
