The chattering around the crowded training grounds was something you can compare to your college’s campus. Full of attention seekers, flirts and some are here just for fun. But still, there are diamonds inside the coal. It was a cheerful morning to other residents as most of them were jubilant to have snow around them.
On the other hand, I was clattering my teeth due to the cold. Suddenly, I was realising that I was good in Vancouver but I really need to stop thinking about the past that I have left behind. There is no time to focus on the things that have slipped from the hands. Now, i need to focus and give my attention to the part i have in my hand right now, the one that will be mine one day in future.
When I was feeling fine, I saw The Red Head Prince approaching me. I averted my gaze to find Dwyn, only to find him running laps around the ground.
“Hey…” he said to me and I smiled slightly.
“Hi…”
“Been a long time… you have changed…” he pointed out the way which irritated me.
“Thank you… change is good.. And change is evolution as well.. Isn’t it?” I was staring him back in the eye.
His jaw was tight and so was his fist… I noticed how tense he was but what is the matter?
“Is there something bothering you?” I asked him straight away. I am here for no games so better end the unwanted conversation as soon as possible.
“Yes… the thing that is bothering me is, you..!!!” his words snapped at me and i was glaring at him.
I stood up and demanded an answer for his behaviour, “what do you mean?” though i knew there was something wrong since i landed my eye on him and now i am curious to know why?
“Why are you here? And no stupid clarification of your actions. I can sense that you are upto no good… and don’t ask me how do I know.. I will let you, I possess some psychic powers which alerts me when some sort of danger is around me… and I sense you are one of them…” he gritted his teeth at me.
“Oh.. is that so? Then you should really start working on your powers because they are leading you in the wrong direction…” I snapped back at him.
“Alright… there is one way to prove it…” he picked his gaze and was ready to fight me.
I was amused at first but I accepted his challenge.
The beautiful and glowing morning was soon about to turn into a disastrous one as the silence of the bird and stopping of the air in the middle indicated the storm coming this way. When the clouds in the sky cover up the sun and it will rain soon. The thick fog was arounded the huge bare ground where I stood. Everything fell as silent as a dark night.
My head was light as I thought of the revenge but patience is the key to a sweeter revenge. Anyway, I see that this trait was shared by both mother and son duo. And now I need to teach them a lesson for messing with me. It will go one-way around.
I could have let it go if it wasn’t about the challenge he proposed to me but since it's his will, how can I not entertain them. After all, I have been waiting for a long time to show them a trailer of my enormous power.
I wasn't hiding all this time for nothing… I came here for a purpose and now it has begun.
"I am giving you one chance to change your mind. Because, after that, you won't be able to change your position on the bed for a while.." i started sarcastically at Igor, the red prince.
His gaze was on me as if it would be in his hands, he would have set me on fire a long time ago.
"Don't worry about me, dear princess. I should have let it go as well if you have stayed quiet in my matter with Dwyn. But you interrupted in between, I hate when someone tries to stick their nose in my business… so, I will give you a taste of messing with me." He grit his teeth together.
So, he hates me to the core but I don't remember if I ever made him hella mad at me… anyway, I don't want to impress people here. I will make a stand and this is the beginning.
"Igor!!! Stop this nonsense… she is your cousin too…" Dwyn was yelling at his cousin.
"No!! She is not… that man left this kingdom as a traitor and so his legacy is traitorous too… i don't care for the queen or you have accepted her as a part of the family, but i won't… I can't forget the time my mother suffered brutally because of that traitor…" he jabbed as he spitted venom on my face.
It didn't bother me at all, in fact I felt pity for this poor boy, still carrying the hatred for his uncle… but now, this new information is very interesting and it might help me in future.
"Oh! Shut up… you are out of your mind…." Dwyn was trying his best to keep the brawl down.
"Dwyn!! It's okay… that word does not define me or my father… Perhaps, I feel this fight is necessary… in fact I think we shouldn't waste time anymore…" i said while glaring at Igor.
"Yeah… let's do it…" he put his lips hard and took out his sword.
So, is he going to use a weapon? I will do the same. I made the kunai knives out of fire and got ready to take him down. He was running towards me and was about to attack when I kicked him in the guts before he could reach me.
Of course, he fell on the ground but got up immediately, and attacked with his sword. I dodged the attacks while using the flexibility of my body. It wasn't hard at all. His moves were slow but heavy. All I had to do was take care of his proximity to me. One blow can be lethal to me.
Taking the advantage of his slow attacks, I flipped back a few metres and threw my kunais at him. He dodged them but I kept throwing the knives made of fire.
The crowd surrounded us but stayed far enough away not to get attacked accidentally. Smart choice, I must appreciate it. Dwyn stood flabbergasted when I had an upper hand in the fight. He must not be expecting that a girl will be a trouble for his cousin. Since Igor has said that we have no blood connection, I won't mind bleeding him to death.
He swung his sword at me multiple times and it was easy to dodge each of his attacks. Now, i started to get bore with his stupid battle. I was hella excited but after observing his potential, he was nothing but a waste of time for me.
I decided to end this and use my remaining time of the day for something beneficial. I threw my triple kunai knives at once. He was able to dodge two of them but the third one hit the shoulder.
I hot flames kunai left a nasty wound on his shoulder.. but didn't I warn him earlier? I smiled watching his priceless reaction. He wasn't expecting that.
Suddenly, the crowd started to cheer for me when he was laying on the ground, with a hand covering his shoulder.
This enraged him and forgets the pain of his freshly cut wound. Even the bleeding did not stop him when he came running towards me. Poor creature, he has no idea that he is falling hard in my trap.
I stood boldly and waited for his attack, when he jumped in the mid air to attack my head. All of a sudden, I had a vision in my mind of stopping the attack and my hands moved exactly that way. It felt like something was controlling my body and I was just watching.
The blade of the sword was a few inches above before landing when my hand moved up and grabbed the blade. I was gasping because the sharp blade lacerated my palm but somehow, it did not cut through it. It was really shocking to me but Igor was extremely shocked. He wasn't ready to face it.
My hand made flames rising to the blade, making his red hot and the sword started to bend. I snatched the sword from his hands and kicked his chest. Grabbing the handle of the sword, I swung it and with the help of both of my hands, I was about to penetrate it right through his chest.
It was almost down when someone screamed at the top of her lungs.
"No……….."
That Daphne woman was running at us with tears pouring down her face. She was hyperventilating to see his son defeated and almost dead if she didn't distract me with her screams.
I threw the sword at the ground and noticed the queen observing me from the stage above. I smirked at her.
