The Fate
Hey there demigods. The Fate here for latest news on Olympus High's circle.
Were you guys able to breathe after the bomb drop yesterday? I know I was. But then again, this serves as a lesson for our little Ro. Too much champagne can kill you, my darling. Especially when you're with your best friend's boyfriend.
Rosé stood frozen in front of her locker as it became the center of attraction that day. Screen captured pictures of her and Jimin's "rendezvous" that one night in the bar were posted on it with the word "slut" painted over as droplets ran from the surface down.
She gripped the handle of her bag tightly as she tried to stop herself from crying like a helpless kid. As she turned away, a pair of hands held on to her shoulders and she bumped into his chest. she looked up only to see the least expected person to come to her aid.
"Y-Yoongi oppa?"
He wasn't looking at her. Instead, he was throwing dagger looks at everyone who's taking pictures.
"Aish," he cursed before looking at me. "Don't let them get to you. Grab your things and let's go."
Clueless, she did as she was told. Since when did he come back? During the time of Lisa's absence, he too disappeared. Well, they are siblings so maybe it was a family thing?
She slightly struggled with her books as Yoongi literally dragged her away from the crowd. But before they can fully escape, a familiar figure blocked them. Again, Yoongi cursed.
"Well if it isn't Min Yoongi," Jennie said as she crossed her arms over her chest. "So I guess you're back too since Lisa's here again. But the real question here is, why are you helping that b!tch who cheated on your sister? Where's your loyalty, Yoongs?"
"Since when were you interested in what I do, Queen Jennie?" He mocked. An abrupt change in facial expression can be seen in her face.
"I'm just concerned," she replied. "It's about your precious sister. I know how much you care for her. And seeing as you're helping the enemy, I doubt if she'll even like it."
"I helped one of her enemy too but that didn't change anything," Yoongi bitterly said. "So if you'll excuse us, we don't want to waste your precious time."
Irritation was fairly visible in Jennie's face as the two walked away with her vision mainly focused on their clasped hands. It still hurt.
"Guess he never changed," she whispered. "He still helps damsels in distress."
"Jennie!" Sana ran-walked towards her 'coz, hello? Heels? "Did you see Rose's locker? Who would do such a thing?"
"Whoever that person is, he just made my list." She said before walking away.
"Yoongi wait--"
Rose's books dropped on the ground as Yoongi stopped making her bump into his back. He turned towards her.
"I saw."
Rose fell mute as she turned her gaze away from him. "Thanks for your help but... I'm late for class."
She didn't bother to collect her things as she turned around. But Yoongi stopped her.
"Do you... love him?"
Rose felt a lump on her throat. A sting on her eyes. A stab through her chest.
No... she answered. But no words would come out her mouth.
"Does it even matter? I did what I did, Yoongi. That video didn't lie. We had s*x. We cheated on your sister. I... I cheated on you. Does it even matter if I love him or not?" She turned to face him. "I'm damaged goods, Yoongi. I'm not that pure girl you fell in love with--"
Yoongi leaned in and their lips touched. A stray tear fell from her eyes. Gods how she missed that. How she missed him. But they can't be together anymore. She'll just damage him too.
"It matters to me, Rosie. The past year... there wasn't a single day you left my mind." He held her hand. "I don't care if you cheated. Leave him and be with me instead."
Rose took her hand back. "I'm sorry, Yoongi. A lot had changed in just a year. I... I changed. And yes, I-I love him that's why I cheated. I'm sorry."
She ran away. Tears falling on her cheek as she made her way towards the girls' bathroom. She's still in love with him. Hopelessly. But she doesn't deserve someone like him. Someone who's as selfless as him. Someone...
She buried her hands on her palm as she cried her heart out. One night she was so happy with her best friend dancing on a wedding. And just because of too much champagne, it all went downhill. And when she had finally was able to slowly stand, she was pushed to the ground once again.
"I'm sorry..." she muttered in between her sobs. "I'm sorry..."
"I knew you'd be hiding here."
Lisa jumped as the curtain suddenly flew open showing the infamous smirk of Jeon Jungkook.
"What do you want, Jungkook? Can't you just leave me alone?" she hissed.
Jungkook just smiled as he walked in--without forgetting to close the curtain back, and sit beside the pissed Lisa. "A year had passed and you still get to have this clinic all to yourself. Makes me wonder what you and Jimin do here."
Lisa's mouth flew open. "Excuse me, Jeon Jungkook. Unlike you, I don't screw just about anywhere. I have class, you see."
"And yet we shared that private moment at the back of my limo--"
Lisa's hand flew straight to Jungkook's mouth. "As I can remember, nothing happened last night. Nothing. Embed that into your s*x-crazed mind, Jungkook."
Jungkook held Lisa's wrist and gently pulled her hand down while looking straight into her doll-like eyes.
"But that's impossible, doll. I was your first." Her eyes grew wider as Jungkook leaned in closer to the crook of her neck. "The way you sighed and moaned when I lean this close."
Lisa's breathing hitched as she felt the warmth of his breath on her skin. "Stop that."
"Do you really want to, doll?" He smirked and his lips trailed her neck down to her clavicle. Lisa closed her eyes. "You see, what happened last night still haunts me. I can even hear you screaming my name as you came--"
Lisa snapped out and immediately pushed him off her. He still had that devilish smirk on his face. "Erase that. Whatever fantasy you had yesterday, it wasn't true. Nothing happened."
She stood up and straightened her collar. Jungkook, however, laid down the bed comfortably. "Keep telling yourself that, doll. And by the way, did you see the stunt Jennie pulled off on Rose again? That girl can't be more original, don't you think?"
She rolled her eyes. "I don't want to get involved in that drama even more than it is. I don't care about what they did--"
"'Coz you're already even. Is that it?" That made her freeze. "My, my. The Queen of Olympus High is still as ruthless as ever. Sleeping with her boyfriend's best friend as revenge. This is why I like you, Min Lalisa. You're smart."
"You're delusional," she said as she grabbed her bag for the bed side table. But before she can fully leave, she pivoted back towards Jungkook.
With one quick move, her lips touched his--to his surprise. But as he moved, he felt Lisa smirk. She leaned back and stood up.
"Careful, Jeon. Looks like I just won."
Lisa left Jungkook in awe. Then another smirk grew on his face as he watched the vixen leave. Two can play at that game, Min Lalisa. And we all know Jeon Jungkook never lose.
"Did you see the latest The Fate news? Rose's locker was trashed!" Taehyung showed his phone to Namjoon who sat across him.
"This reaks Jennie Kim," he stated.
"You know I can sue you for that Namjoon," Jennie, who happened to be standing near them overheard. "I did not trash Rose's locker."
"You didn't but you asked someone to."
"Again, I didn't." Jennie pursed her lips. "Why do you guys keep on assuming I'm the one to blame? Gods! You people are judgmental."
"Then who do you think will do this to Rose aside from you?"
"How should I know? Do I look like I'm Nancy Drew?" Jennie rolled her eyes. "Maybe it was Lisa. She has more motive than anyone. Why'd you automatically accuse me?"
Taehyung and Namjoon looked at each other before shrugging.
"It's not Lisa's style," Namjoon said. "If she'll do revenge, it wouldn't be something as dramatic as this."
"Plus even if Lisa's pissed at Rose, she'd more likely target Jimin."
Jennie was about to say something when she saw a familiar figure walking towards them.
"Look who decided to show up. Glad you still have balls."
Taehyung coughed. Jennie glared at him.
"Have you seen Rose's locker?" Namjoon asked.
"Yeah. The janitor's gonna freak." Jennie's mouth flew open as she turned to Jimin. Namjoon was shocked too. "What? It's not like I can do anything about it."
"You're such a douche. I'm outta here."
"Dude, are you hearing yourself?" Namjoon scolded Jimin. "That's your girlfriend--"
"We broke up."
"You know what," Namjoon stood up. "You're such an asshole. You did this to Rose and you don't even bat an eye. She's being slut-shamed and you remain unscathed. Maybe it is for the best that you and Rose broke up. At least you won't do her any more damage."
Before Namjoon could leave the table, his phone rang. It was Jennie.
"Joon! Meet me in the rooftop."
"Why? What's going on? And why are you panting?"
"I have no time to explain plus these Jimmy Choo's are not for running, okay? Just please come quick."
Namjoon did as what he was told an frantically ran towards the staircase.
"Joon!" Jennie was frantic as she stood behind the door. "This has gone too far."
To ease his curiosity of whatever it was that Jennie's saying, he opened the door. And boy was he surprised.
"Call Jimin. Call him now."
Lisa went straight to the girls' bathroom to wash her lips. No amount of washing or cleansing can remove that Jeon Jungkook's filthy mark on her. It's a good thing he hasn't send in a tip to The Fate about what happened. Yet.
She cursed. What did she just get herself into? Jeon Jungkook? She could've done better. The sound of ice cream and chick flicks sound better right now. But...
She used to do that with Rose whenever she had fights with Jimin. Or whenever she felt down. But how could she? She knew I had loved him. She was always there. She knew how perfect we were. But oddly, I'm more relieved--
"Lisa!"
"Crap--Jisoo! What the hell?!"
"Come quick! You have to help her!"
"What? What's going on?!"
She looked at Jisoo. She honestly couldn't tell anything because a metal mask was hiding her face. They've got to do something about that, honestly.
"It's Rose..." she said panting. "She's on the roof!"
"What?!"
Jisoo held me by my wrist as she pulled me out of the bathroom. She let her and ran frantically up the stairs. She gasped as she saw Rose standing on the ledge on the roof.
"Rosie don't do this!" Namjoon was near her but he couldn't move any closer. "We can get through this!"
Jimin was there too. Taehyung and Jungkook. Even Jennie. It's a good thing her cronies weren't there to film the whole thing and send it to The Fate.
What made Lisa tick off was the fact that Jimin was just cowardly standing there and not doing anything. She ran closer without forgetting to harshly shove the culprit.
"L-Lisa?" Rose looked at her as she stood beside Namjoon. She didn't know what to say. The right thing to say. "What are you doing here?"
But it's Rose. She knows me the way I know her. "Your punishment."
"Lisa, I don't think this is the right time for that," Namjoon said in a whispering and scolding manner. She ignored him.
"Before you jump off this building, I just want you to hear what kind of punishment I have in store for you." She took a step forward. Rose faced her. "Six weeks. For six weeks you have to do whatever it is that I tell you. You have no right to refuse nor to ignore it."
She took her hand out towards her.
"That includes a marathon of chick flicks every Friday night in my place and some ice cream," she continued. "At least do that before you jump."
To everyone's surprise, Rose laughed while tears pooled down her cheeks. She took Lisa's hand and the two girls hugged each other.
"I'm so sorry Lis... I'm really sorry..." she said.
For the first time, everyone saw Min Lalisa cry. "You think you can escape your punishment that easily? Think again."
"Lisa..." Rose was sobbing so hard. "I'm really sorry. I... I really didn't mean it. You know how I am with alcohol. I... I felt so bad and... I... I'm so so sorry... I thought that if I just disappeared... maybe everything will be back to how it was... That I couldn't hurt you or anyone else anymore..."
"Shh..." Lisa gently brushed Rose's long black hair. "You'll hurt me more if you did. So please don't do that to me. To us."
From behind, the door suddenly opened and Min Yoongi came bolting in.
"Rose--" He stopped as soon as he saw the two girls who held a special place inside her heart hugging. He looked away.
"Yoongi why--oh..." Hoseok who was just behind Yoongi said. "Aren't you gonna stay?"
"Nah," he answered. "Let them have each other first. "They at least both deserve this."
"Are you guys done here?" a foreign voice suddenly cut the scene. All heads turned over the to the roof of the stairway. "Can you leave? I'm having my beauty sleep."
Jennie rolled her eyes as she made her way towards the door. "Oh, you're here. Great timing. Your ex-girlfriend almost killed herself."
Before Jennie could walk down the stairs, Yoongi called her. "Thanks. For the call."
She just looked at him before rolling her eyes again before leaving.
Taehyung and Namjoon followed Jennie and walked pass them. Lisa held on to Rose as she carried her stuff while Jungkook was left to carry hers--to his disbelief.
Jisoo was about to follow the girls when the guy on the roof stopped her.
"Well, well, well. Kim Jisoo," he said as he jumped off and landed in front of her. "It's been a long time, hasn't it?"
Jisoo rolled her eyes and crossed her arms. "Kim Seokjin. What bad wind brought you here to my school? Shouldn't you be at home?"
"Well, it's kinda boring being home schooled. So I convinced mom to let me attend Olympus High," Seokjin--Jin for everyone, said. He walked towards Jisoo with his hands in his pocket. "Besides, you're here. Wouldn't it be nice if I go to the same school as my dear ol' sister?"
A little birdie told me that Ro and L are besties again. My, my. When did the Queen of Hearts became forgiving? No 'off with their heads'? Sad. But don't worry my darlings, I'm sensing this change won't be for long. Prepare for another bomb, ladies. And he comes with a face of an angel.
You know you love me.
