I've been hiding inside the bush close to home for a while now and it's still so quiet. There were no movements or any signs of a life still in there. My eyes narrowed in suspicion, a dreadful feeling hovered around me and my heart became heavy as the suspicion grew. It couldn't be that the General didn't keep his promise right? No. He has no reason to kill them. The more I thought about it, the more anxious I got. I got out of my hiding place and ran to the house, hoping and praying I was wrong. I entered Mom's room.
