The feeling of something heavy on my legs was the first thing I noticed when I started to wake up. When I opened my eyes the room I was in looked familiar. Maybe because it was the same hospital I had woken up in almost two weeks ago. As I stretched my arms over my head I could feel my ribs were a little tender but it wasn’t anything I couldn’t handle. I brought my hand down and placed it on Kane’s head. He was the heavy object on my legs causing them to go numb.
My fingers worked through his hair, pushing it back and away from his eyes. Slowly he began to stir and when he realized I was awake he shot up and his beautiful hazel eyes met mine.
“Good morning, sunshine,” I said while giving him a big smile.
“Holy crap, you’re really ok,” he said as he stared at me in astonishment
