That had to be the right word for how Paige felt right after he left the room. The young Alpha was physically and emotionally drained. Alexius is pushing him to the wall, and he has not much restrained left.
Everything he does, to escape the omega just keeps backfiring back to him and Paige is, exhausted with the entire situation. He doesn't understand why Alexius lied to Kelly. It makes no sense that he did that just to get back at him, for telling Allison of Alexius' whereabouts.
Just two months of knowing Kelly, Paige could assure she wasn't a sensitive, so what words did Alexius say to her exactly that she didn't even stop to hear him out after slapping him?
