“Your Grace.”
Allison looks away from the email she is reading, sighing as Jared walks in to her office.
“Jared, you are here. What is the situation report right now?”
The Alpha king asks, pointing her friend to take his seat while she closed the distressed email she was just reading.
“It’s no better Alpha, pups are missing at an alarming rate and they are all omega pups, newly transitioned or younger than eighteen years of age.”
Jared informs, shaking his head at the sad news.
“We’ve had a similar situation before, here look.”
She hands Jared her iPad, showing him the multiple emails she has received in the last weeks.
“That’s about one hundred distressed email from different states, miles away from here and some from Brazil, Portugal and even Netherlands. Whoever is behind the kidnaps of the omegas, do you think they have like a syndicate organisation?”
Allison questions and Jared shakes his head, going through the emails one after the other. Just as he is about to respond, Brandon walks into the office.
“Your Grace.”
Brandon greets, bowing curtly before placing a kiss on his mate’s cheeks and he gingerly takes his seat. Allison couldn’t stop herself from snickering at the way he angled his ass. Obviously, something romantic must have happened between the two over the night.
“The last time we had a similar situation was about seven years ago, with Lisa and his mate.”
Jared says, and Allison nods, going through one of the record file on her desk.
“Yes, but Lisa’s mate had a pattern. He didn’t just kidnap omegas randomly different places at once and most of the omega’s he kidnap were mostly sixteen to eighteen.”
Brandon says, motioning for Jared to pass him the iPad so he could look over the emails.
“You are right. From the records in this file, he took at least two months interval before he hits another pack and he always went for the unsuspecting ones.”
Allison says to the two and they nod.
“Your Grace.”
A panting Jason rushes into the office, bending to his knee to catch his breath, and the three parties in the office turned to him with curious eyes.
“What is going on?”
Allison asks and the former Alpha heaves, waving his hand for her to let him catch his breath before he talks.
Ever since the rejection and the council stripping him of his Alpha title, Jason’s wolf hasn’t been the same. Allison has offered to help him multiple times, to revive his Alpha powers, but Jason always refuses.
He believes it is a punishment he has to live with for the rest of his life for the wrong he did to Allison and has yet to forgive himself.
His wolf is still there, but compared to a beta wolf, it is simply just occupying space and Jason has convinced himself to live with it.
“I’m sorry, your grace. I ran all the way here.”
Jason says, standing upright and he walks over to the trio.
“Yeah, it was obvious, what’s the matter?”
Allison says and Jason nods.
“The guards at the southern border reported having found the bodies of ten omegas during their patrol.”
Jason informs, surprising the trio in the room.
“What?”
Allison belows, standing on her feet at the news.
“Ten omega bodies, on my lands? Are they dead?”
The alpha king questions, and Jason shakes his head.
“No, but I told two of them to stay with the body and I deployed a few warriors to scout the boundaries, for any unusual sitting.”
Jason says, and Allison nods.
“That’s brilliant. Lead me to them. Whoever is doing this has a purpose. The omegas aren’t from our pack but the kidnappers brought them to my threshold on purpose to send a message.”
Allison says and Jason led the trio to the spot where they found the omegas.

“Is anyone of them conscious enough to talk?”
Allison asks, walking into the clearing in the woods, and the guards bow to her.
“Your Grace.”
They greet in unison, and Allison nods at them.
“One of them is moving, but we refrained from touching them.”
One guard answers and Allison nods, passing her cloak to Jared as she walks over to the omegas, inspecting them one after the other.
“I am not here to hurt you, just keep still for me okay.”
Allison says to the only conscious omega, whose eyes had a fearful glint the minute Allison advanced towards her.
Allison lets out a friendly pheromone to calm the omega, and she crouches before him, taking his head in her palm and she connects their foreheads, so her wolves could search out the wolf of the omega or at least see what damage they did to them.
“Her wolf is still intact, but weak.”
Allison says, placing a kiss on the table of the omega as he Marz lulls the omega to sleep. She moves to the other unconscious omegas doing the same thing for them before standing up and Jared hands her the cloak.
“Take them to the infirmary tell doctor Ken to pay special attention to them. He would understand. Jason, I want you to keep watch on them until they are conscious also call Micah and let him find out what packs they are from. I want the security around every boundary that leads to the pack doubled immediately. Lets head back.”
Allison says, motioning to Jared and Brandon and they get into the car, driving back to the king’s mansion.
On the way, Allison’s mind try to put up a reasonable explanation why the kidnappers would leave the omegas for her to see.
Obviously, they knew she would see it, and it would probably piss her off, but the question is why? The distress messages she’s received in one week are no joke and now this.
She thoughts the surrounding packs were safe because none reported any missing omega to her. She had reached out to the Alphas herself to be sure.
So if the kidnappers aren’t taking the omegas from her pack, or the neighbouring packs, why leave their unconscious body for her to see.
Once they got back to the mansion, Allison packs her car in the garage going up the elevator with the two mates behind her.
“Jared, look at this.”
Brandon says, calling the attention of his mate as they reached the female Alpha’s office.
“Translate it, see.”
Brandon says pointing out something to his mate and Jared nods.
“Can I make use of your laptop? You have you email logged in here right?”
Jared asks and Allison nods, moving her laptop towards Jared, who doesn’t waste time as he clicks away on the keypad.
“What’s going on?”
Allison questions, and Brandon looks away from the iPad in his hand.
“I was reading through the emails when I noticed something. They are all from different mails but they all have similar composition. I didn’t notice at first until I translated the ones in german and Spanish to English with my phone and I noticed the similarities it has to the ones in English. If my doubts are right, the same person drafted the email. It has the same writing style ninety percent similar words.”
Brandon informs, and Allison tilts her head as she sits.
“You mean the one hundred plus email sent to me from different mails is from the same person?”
Allison asks, and Brandon nods.
“From the same source actually, I just tracked the URL of the mails, and it’s from the same address, somewhere in Netherlands. I am trying to track the location. It seems someone is playing a trick on us.”
Jared says and Allison hums.
“They want to lure me out of the pack. They know I would always respond to distress letters. That is why they haven’t taken omegas from the neighbouring as it might deter my attention. They sent the distress emails to lure me out of the pack. Seeing my lack of response in a week made them leave the bodies of those omegas at the pack border to prey on my anger.”
Allison says and her friends look away from what they are doing, nodding their head in unison as their brains connected the dots.
“Reply to a few of the emails randomly. Tell them I’ll be with them in a few days. Reply to another one saying I’ll be with them in two days. We would play their game against them.”
Allison says, and Brandon nods.
“Found it.”
Jared exclaims, smiling.
“What?”
Allison asks.
“The location of the address.”
Jared says and Allison nods.
“Call Alpha Andrews, send him the address and let him have his men check it out. Report to me whatever he says. I need to have a few words with my mate.”
Allison says and her friend’s nod, Jared putting the call through while Brandon sent replies to the distress emails.

“I read the reports.”
Alistair says, walking into the kitchen and he hugs his mate from behind, placing a gentle kiss on her neck.
“Welcome back. How was the meeting?”
Allison asks, turning off the stove, and she turns to kiss her mate.
“It went well, although a few Alphas were keen on killing any rogues they encounter on sight, but I reminded them of the consequences if they cross my mate the king.”
Alistair says, grinning, and Allison shakes her head with a chuckle.
“Thank you, I need the rogues alive two out of a dozen would know something.”
Allison responds, and Alistair nods, as he helps her clear the kitchen counter.
“Are you really leaving the pack to respond to the distress letter, despite knowing they are fake?”
Alistair asks, and the Alpha female shakes her head.
“No, it’s a divergent, to make them believe I am leaving. There must be a reason they want me out of the pack, if we create a make believe that I am responding to the distress calls, I am sure whoever is behind this will infiltrate the pack but they won’t expect to meet me here waiting for them.”
Allison explains, and Alistair nods.
“Jared gave me the report from Alpha Andrew. The location of the IP address is a business cafe. A busy one at that, with games and all. There is no way to tell who sent it.”
Alistair says, and Allison nods, washing her hands in the sink.
“I noticed something earlier from the omegas that were found outside border. The perpetrators didn’t abduct the omegas for their wolves, it was for their blood, they drained them.”
Allison says telling her observation to Alistair, who stops cleaning the plate in his hands and turns to his mate.
“Drained of blood? Beaten or how? You didn’t add that to your daily report.”
Alistair points out, and Allison nods.
“I didn’t even tell Jared and Brandon. I don’t want to instigate any reason for fear. If I had said it there with the guard’s present words would travel fast and that might cause unnecessary unrest amongst the people. Besides, I want to be certain of my hunch before saying anything to both Jared and his mate or Micah.”
Allison says, and Alistair nods, arranging the plates in the tray as he helps Allison set up for dinner.
“You already know what is going on?”
Alistair questions, and Allison nods.
“Remember when we infiltrated Lisa’s mate hideout in my old pack. They were draining the twins of blood and the cave where they had the other omegas was full of blood bags. I think the person behind the missing omega’s is a relative of Lisa’s mate.”
Allison says, and Alistair seems deep in thought for a while before shaking his head.
“That’s almost impossible. Leo was the only one left of his family it can’t be.”
Alistair says, and Allison sighs, sitting on the dinning chairs for a moment.
“Then whoever this is, knows of the experiment Leo was doing with the omega’s blood and they are trying to continue it.”
Allison says and Alistair nods.
“You’re right, but didn’t Leo kidnap omegas then in search for the spirit wolf? Now that everyone knows that you’re the spirit wolf, why do you think this person is going after harmless omegas?”
Alistair asks, giving Allison something to think about.
“To draw me out, if they know I am the spirit wolf they would need by blood to complete their experiment, they did not send the distress emails to infiltrate the pack in my absence. It is an ambush for me. They want me where they can corner me.”
Allison says and Alistair laughs.
“Isn’t that a suicide mission?”
Alistair comments, and Allison chuckles.
“Well, they obviously haven’t thought about that.”
Allison comments going to the kitchen to bring the meal she prepared to the dinning room just as her kids file downstair.
“Why are you carrying him, has he no legs?”
Alistair questions, seeing as Alexius curled himself in the Paige’s arm and the young Alpha chuckles.
“He was sleep and wouldn’t leave the bed unless I carry him, and I don’t want him to hurt himself since he might still feel drowsy.”
Paige says and Alistair just shakes his head at the duo.
“You need to stop treating him like a baby, you’re spoiling him Paige.”
Allison chides, walking into on her family and Alexius now coiled on the young Alpha’s lap.
“I’m just tired.”
Alexius grumbles into Paige’s chest and the young Alpha laughs.
“Leave him, mom, training his taking a toll on him. Alexius is a big boy. Right Aloysius?”
Paige says, turning to the twin brother who looks away from the phone in his hands, eyes roaming the table in confusion.
“What?”
Aloysius questions and the family laughs at him, always looking lost and confused, unlike Alexius and his hyperreactive personality.
Aloysius is the chill twin who doesn’t talk unless spoken to and would rather remain quiet or lost whenever they gather like this instead of engaging in conversations.
“I should probably get you married to that phone, Aloysius, it’s preventing you from socialising.”
Allison says and the boy grunts.
“Mom, I’m here.”
Aloysius says, and Allison rolls her eyes.
“Yeah, you’re here we can see you. Turn off the phone until dinner is over.”
Aloysius obeys without arguing and he glares at Paige, hitting his big brother’s leg under the table, knowing the older boy exposed him on purpose.
