Chapter 5

Damian's POV We got to my room where I quickly but carefully placed her on the bed, while Lucas quickly gets the first aid kits. I normally keep a few medical supplies in my apartment as recommended by Lucas. As the student union president, I have had situations where injured students were brought down to my apartment instead of the school clinic. Some were done purely out of panic and others mainly for attention purposes. It was a few minutes of chaos, but Lucas did all he could to handle the situation. I left them to go catch my breath in the sitting room. I was so tired from carrying her from the field to my room. She has beautiful spotless skin, so soft and delicate just as I have imagined it. She smelled like strawberries and wild roses. The picture of her in her pink towel flashed through my mind again, the way the water rolled by her skin, her lips looking soft and edible. Her wet dark and long hair were glued on her pure skin. Her voice sounds like a lullaby, it would be nice waking up to such a beautiful sight. She was petite, beautiful, and hot, my type of girl. Only that she is a student and to crown it all a freshman. I have practically been trying to avoid her since the last time I saw her in Sophia's room. I know if I get too close, she will be in serious trouble. *********************************** I was already asleep when Lucas called out my name, Lucas has been my best friend since childhood. His parent is wealthy although not as my Dad. His father was named the third richest man in the world by Forbes recently. They have a family donated clinic here on campus, where he sometimes assist the doctors on duty. He is one of the best graduating students in the science faculty. Despite their wealth, he is very humble and you can hardly tell from his first appearance. we are both rounding up our second-degree program. Nelson is the school Director of Social (DOS), we became friends after we were inaugurated as the school executives, he is very nosy and talks too damned much. "Damian" Lucas called out again. Making me startle a bit on the chair I was sleeping on. I woke up trying to wipe the sleep off my face. "How is she?" I asked unable to get rid of the fatigue I was having from my voice. "She is fine and sleeping now. I'm sure she will be better by the time she wakes up. She is very lucky that we got there in time" Lucas said looking at me. "Thank goodness," I said as I sighed heavily. "Who is she?" Lucas asked after some time. "Sophia's roommate," I answered "Just Sophia's roommate?" He asked while his eyes searched me for more information. "Yes," I answered as I tried giving him the backoff look. But Lucas being who he is was having none of my tactics. "You like her, don't you?" He asked making fun of the scene before him, he seemed to be enjoying the fact that I was deliberately trying to avoid talking about her. "Me? Nah, I am just trying to be nice, that's all," I said with a nonchalant attitude hopefully, it gets him to stop pressurizing me. I have never had any reason to lie to him, not that I was lying now, I am so unsure of my feelings towards her. "Are you sure? because if I didn't know you better I will say you have a thing for her. Let's not ignore the fact that you brought her to your apartment when you could have easily taken her to the school clinic." He said teasingly "I'm not one to be seen frolicking with students Lucas and you know that, so just drop it already," I answered trying to be all angry in my tune. But secretly I enjoyed the teasing, I don't mind talking about her all night. But then again, she is a student. I don't like dating students. I find them too timid, possessive, and desperate. I enjoy dating older career ladies, not necessarily older, but independent women, because they don't bother about what you do, and how you do your thing. But this girl makes me feel I have been wrong all this time. "Nah I was just doing my presidential duties. I brought her into my room because I knew you were capable of taking care of her. she is a fresher and being raped sexually or molested is still a big stigma to deal with. I don't want any student leaving school as a result of stigmatization on my watch, you know things are hardly confidential in the school clinic." I said trying to convince Lucas that I had no strings attached to her. When in reality, I know that I felt something for her, can't say love, but I know she is someone I would want by my side always. "OK bro, if you say so," he said as he gives me a concerned look. "are you sure you are OK though?" He asked with concern written all over his face. "I'm fine, thanks," I said faking a smile. "Cool, I am off to night shift at the clinic. Doctors are hardly ever around at night, so I just help do the little I can. Ensure to get her something to eat when she wakes up, if there is any trouble, call me, I will be here with the ambulance in no time" Lucas said as he pats me on my shoulder. I nodded my head in response as I walked him to the door. "see you in the morning friend," he said as we shook hands and hugged. "Thank you," I replied as I watched him fade into the night. I went back to my room to check up on her, she was sound asleep. She was so beautiful, I wished I could sleep by her side, to cuddle her and let my face be the first thing she sees when she wakes up. I returned to where I was seated. Unsure of what next to do. ****†****†****†****†****†****†****†** Erica's POV The whistling of a kitchen kettle woke me up. I opened my eyes to see that I was in a strange room. The bed was huge and had nice beddings, when I tried getting up, I noticed I ached all over my body. My wrists were reddish and bruised. What happened? How did I get here? I kept asking myself. I struggled to get off the bed. The room is big and tastefully designed. The furniture looked very expensive and well placed. The wardrobe was large and filled with men's clothes. As I turned around from where I was standing I saw myself in a mirror, that is when I realized I was in an oversized man shirt. I had a black eye and lots of bruises that I can't seem to remember how I got them. As I try to get to the door, I lost my balance and fell, hitting my head on the bed. Suddenly I had a quick flashback of the previous night, I heard footsteps from outside the room and quickly I stood up, looking for anything that could be used as a weapon to defend myself. A second look at the room told me whoever could afford this luxurious lifestyle cant be a student, it must belong to one of those men, if not all of them, what if I am in the middle of nowhere. I quickly unplugged the beautiful lamp stand by the side of the bed. too bad it's the only weapon I could think of, as I quickly moved to hide at the back of the door.
