During the two days that Evangeline was hospitalized, Jasper Kent took care of Cody. Emilia couldn't take too long off, so she left Cody with Jasper.
"Don't worry, I'll take care of him," Jasper said reassuringly. Jasper smiled kindly, and Emilia easily trusted him.
"Cody can't go to school because Eva is still in the hospital," replied Emilia, smiling. Jasper nodded in understanding, then smiled again.
“When does she get home? How is she?" Jasper asked curiously. It was impossible for him to return to the hospital, especially after what happened two days ago. Emilia shrugged her shoulders slightly with a narrow smile.
“Eva is getting better, and it looks like she can go home tomorrow morning. I'll pick him up.”
